Question about Xerox XG-71D 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

Xerox computer monitor light keeps flashing

I am having the same problem with my monitor. It's about 5 years old, and when I first turn on the computer I can hear it load up, but the monitor won't turn on. The green light keeps flashing and I have checked the power cords and the external power supply. About an hour or 2 later all of a sudden the green light is on and the monitor comes on. I am assuming that the internal power supply is going? I guess it's just as easy to go buy a new monitor then to bring this one in for repair? Anyone have any idea on what is going on with the Xerox Computer Monitor. ?

Monitor was turn off while computer was on, now it won't turn back on and a faint light flashing at the power button, how do i get it to turn back on?

efrainefind, You will have a cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp back-lit lcd monitor electronics technician troubleshoot the unit's switch-mode-power-supply/ CCFL inverter supply that has finally failed in your 4 to 6 year old unit. It may be time for you to trade up to a new wide screen unit???? The very first thing to do would be to view some video clips of DIY repair vids at YOUTUBE just so you can see what some owners will do to repair/refurbish their units. Some of the videos are good, but a lot of them are totaly useless. hope this helps. 12fixlouie

Monitor not turns on

first off check all the chords and make sure the monitor is turned on. as you have probably done this try to use a different monitor. borrow one for an hour or something. if the second monitor is black as well it is your video card in your PC and you will have to replace it. If it boots as normal that of coarse means that your Xerox monitor is broken and needs to be replaced/repaired. Hope your warranty is still good. Good Luck.

I have a xerox XG-91D and when i power it up there is no picture and the green light flashes. how do i fix this?

This is most likely the power inverter board in the monitor - this is common in many monitors. If it started taking longer and longer to display an image, and the power light is blinking on-and-off, that's the problem. You can confirm that it's the monitor and not your computer or the cable by plugging in another monitor if you have one to try.

If it's under warranty, send it back, if not, there are inverter boards for many common models of LCD monitors that are replaceable. The board can run anywhere from $50 on up. Depending on how old it is, you may find it better to just replace it with a gently used one from ebay.

Flashing green light
This is the link to the xerox install info. This should fix the problem. If it does not please list the CPU OS and video card you have. Before connecting the LCD monitor make sure in your display properties are set to a refresh rate of 60 hertz. You can set refresh rate by going to the control panel in windows and display settings properties.

Sounds like another Power supply/ inverter board problem. If you know electronics you'll have to tear it apart and repair it. I hope it's still under warranty. Hope this helps.
