My i-pod nano (2GB) will not hold more than 43 songs when I import from my cd's. My ipod is clear of all songs and so is my library. Are I not suppose to have at least a 500 song capacity?

I have an I-pod nano 4 gb. What I think is going on is you are loading full "wav" files. The 500 songs is predicated on low quality "mp3" songs. Normally, I-tunes will convert the "wav" file to an "mp3" file.

Check your music files on your computer and assure they are "mp3" files. If they are make sure your I-pod does not have other "stuff" on it. Use I-tunes to reset it an "like-new" condition (that removes all files)., then use I-tunes to re-install your music.

If you are downloading files from the I-tunes store make sure they are safe so you do not loose your investment in tunes.

Since they are from cd's make sure the ripped files are safe, then try a re-install.

Should work.

I pod 4 G model no A1137.

Use Itunes. It's made for ipods, you can "eject" your ipod and safely disconnect it. I used to use Winamp and Windows, and had troubles all the time. Now I use mac os and have no problems at all.

How do i download songs on ipod

Hi, All you need to do is download free software called I-TUNES, With some i-pod modles in the box is a disk containing i-tunes, but if not dont panic, just search i-tunes on google andd it will let you download it from there, Then with that you can upload pictures and photos to your enjoyment

Hope This Helps!

Need help on i pod nano

Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize

Ipod music shows up on the computer, but no songs when I disconnect it

Make sure when you sync the music, you selected all music and everything you want is checked off. And before you disconect, be sure your capacity bar thingy is higher up than before. Otherwise I would sugest you restore the settings and try again.
