Go to your browsers internet options, go to advanced, then uncheck HTTP via proxy connections, if this is ticked untick it.
You can also try using the rest button at the bottom of the box which restored to default settings.
On my own pc it seemed to be the proxy settings was turned on i suspected that i had some kind of spyware or bot network which was hogging my connection as the problem(seemed to) dissapear when i unticked http via proxy.
Although as i type now i notice it's slower than normal.

I suggest uninstalling any new software u have recently installed, try turning off antivirus programs and see if this makes any difference.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem as well. Hotmail is really slow, as is another web-based email service. Somethings work great, others, slow as molassess in January.

Usually, I just fire up notepad and type my message in there, and then copy/pasting it into my email message as the slow typing response drives me crazy!

I have tried all sorts of stuff, including deleting the browsing history. My hunch is that it is java, or javascript related.

I have a d150

Does it only happen in hotmail? Or on anyother email acount as well,

You can try deleting all your browsing history and check if it works fine.

How to slow this problam

i had the same problem, on both of my computers all of a sudden, i went to hotmail and logged in and it was fine, but outlook express wouldnt work. go to help central at the bottom of the page and then type in outlook express. you can actually load hotmail into a pop3 and smtp account rather than an imap. follow this link if you can
http://help.live.com/Help.aspx?market=en-US&project=MailClassic&querytype=topic&query=WL_Mail_PROC_HMOE.htm

follow the instructions. easy. you wont get your hotmail folders, and make sure that you check the box that says keep copy of messages on server.

My keyboard is slow when I use it in Hotmail

That is not a problem with the keyboard.( Cheers :P) That is the problem with your network connectivity. It is not able to load complete hotmail features properly. So it is not responding properly to the keyboard responses.

Sounds like your Hotmail account may have been hacked and/or a keylogger software may be intercepting your keystrokes.I would change the account or stop using it.

I have to hold down keys for 2-3 seconds to type. How to correct?

It might be due to a service called "ATI Hotkey Poller" running
which is intermittently slowing the keyboard typing down.

To disable it in Windows XP Home:-
Go to Start->>Run->>type "msconfig"->> click the "Services" tab->> uncheck Ati Hotkey Poller->> Then Ok, then Restart computer.

hope this helps

Have either of you tried a DIFFERENT computer. Since most likely it's your computer and not Yahoo.

Or install firefox or chrome and try with a different browser.
