press menu n jump at the same time then press menu shift n q n it will say reset n datz it try it

ok dis is wat u have to do (i only tested dis on cingular or at&t waveva u call it)

1.your sim needs a password
2.turn off ur sidekick 3
3.place ur cingular card in
4.turn on sidekick 3
5.itz gunna ask you for a special code ignore it
6. go to settings den sim center
7. if ur sim lock is disabled jus enable it
8.den change ur sin pin to wateva you want
9.once u change it you will signals bars go up
10.go 2 settings network options
11. press scan scan select manually
12. select ur network
13. and datz it your sim iz workin on sidekick 3

if u turn it off u will have 2 do da same process again

does anyone know how to unlock a sidekick 1,2,or 3 for a cincinnati bell but i want to be able to txt,use web, and call out and recieve

i found a website that onlycharges 7.99 to unlock your phone they unlocked mine and it works (well only talking and texting but thats pretty much all a unlcked phone is good for and exactly what i expected) the website is http://www.wirelessunlocking.com/ simple name right

you actually need to buy an unlock code. u can find this on ebay. it cost anywhere from $50-$100. the ones that our listed for cheaper wont work. each sidekick has a specific unlock code for the phone. if you keep on trying to enter unlock codes, it will permanantly be locked to tmobile. so be careful. hope this answers ur question

There are some people and ebay sellers out there who will offer to unlock your phone for a price, but really be careful of those because I haven't heard of one that was verified yet to be legit. 

furthermore, even if you COULD unlock it, the only features that would be usable on any other network would be the phone itself (voice) and text messaging. 

The data side is tied into the carrier the phone was created for so it wouldn't do you any good, you wouldn't be able to browse, download games, email or anything other than phone and text messaging.

i think you need to a 4 digit code from t-mobile to unlock the sidekick lx or o8
if they don't you need to pay an extra 100$ to them

Why such a difference in price for unlock code?

The first, the $5 or $10 unlock is a privacy code, it will work, once, however there are issues with it and it does not permenantly unlock your phone.

The second, is a simple code you enter in your phone, it will be unlocked forever, downside, it can take 1-2 weeks to get the unlock code, but you will be happier that you have done it right. I have unlocked a couple hundred Sidekicks, many customers try the first way to save money, then do it the second way. Goto - SIDEKICK UNLOCK CODE

How to unlock the sidekick 3 :
- when you turn on the sk3 with your sim card in it
something will pop up that asks for the sim code .
PRESS CANCEL .
- next press the MENU button go to SETTINGS and scroll down
to SIM CENTER .
- once your there youll see something that either says 'UNLOCK SIM CARD/ENABLE SIM LOCK'
or DISABLE SIM LOCK / CHANGE SIM PIN
IF you have to press unlock sim card & type in something like 1111 .
then it should change to the two options on disable sim lock or change
sim pin.
CLICK change sim pin .
then type in 1111 in the OLD SIM CODE
and type in a FOUR DIGIT LOCK tht youll memorize .
your gonna have to type it twice .

Then after that you get out of the settings and menu and at the top right
hand corner youll see a outline of a phone .

GO BACK TO MENU , click NETWORK OPTIONS .
go down to were it says "rescan or select manually"
and click it . Itll start searching for a networl & after
awhile it should say AT&T (if you have att&t) and
click DONE .


Once you unlock the phone you cannot use
email, internet, picture messaging .

I only know how to unlock it (you have to redo this everytime your fully turn it off)
1st Step:  Press Menu, go to Settings then SIM Center 2nd Step: Change (or enable) your sim pin to 0000 3rd Step:  Press the Home button 4th Step:  Press Menu, go to Settings then Network Options 5th Step:  Select Scan and Select Manually, Choose your phone company 6th Step:  YOUR DONE!

first you press the two left front signs then its gonna ask you if you want to make a e-mergency phone call. thats when you press the menu button with the shift then q. its then gonna ask if you wanna reset. press yes

They are the main source for all sidekick unlock codes plus fast blackerry unlocking, etc. Unlocking via code, you will not need to repeat the process everytime you turn off and on your phone. Also the phone will work with other networks rather than T-mobile
