Sounds like the governor needs to be readjusted as it isn't giving you more power to make it up hills. Take it back to the dealer you bought it from and they should do this for free if you just bought it, otherwise it shouldn't cost so much. Let me know how this turns out.

Sounds like the transmission needs to be purged of air. The procedure for doing this is on page 16 of your user manual. If you don't have it handy, it can be downloaded here: http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/HOUS/HOUS2006/HOUS2006_O0602065.pdf

Yth2248 loses speed on slightest grade. new drive belt not helpful

Roy if it is the correct belt and fairly new, check your manual for belt adjustment, if it shows that there is no adjustment the pulleys may be worn out, on a lot of mowers the pulleys are ware items and changed more often to correct slipping issues. The other thing to check is the belt tensioner if equipped, it could be seized, weak or missing spring or it may even be adjustable by cable end being threaded or slotted bolt holes on tensioner arm.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Hydrostatic trans getting weak going forward. Won't lug engine and have to go to low gear to pull hills it used to pull in B. Reverse is still strong. 380 hours, have change filter, oil looks good

The big pulley on top of the hydro axle is driven by a rubber belt.
V Drive belts pull from the two sides of the belt, as they wear down the bottom of the belt gets lower in the pulley making it loose and narrower then original. There is a idler pulley mounted on a arm with a big spring that pulls it tight to make belt not slip

Alway pick the thermostat with "fail-safe" relief. Look for a float like pressure relief port.

The low tech method to prevent trap air pocket is to drive the car onto an oil ramp (or hill) then fill coolant slowly.

My jonway 49cc moped loses power too easily going uphill. Does it need new rings?

It needs a bigger engine. 50 cc or less will max out at 25 MPH on level ground with a load of 150 lbs. Add an uphill grade or more weight and you're fighting a losing battle.

My craftsman tractor wont pull itself up a hill. Runs fine but just comes to a stop when trying to go up a hill. Maby the ground drive belt is slipping????

Sounds like your drive belt is slipping alright. Need to tighten your clutch rod. One end of rod adjust. Have someone help you, move the clutch petal and your helper watch and see rod moves.

Hello. I am having constant problems with my 1997 chevy cavalier serpentine belt. My old wrecked belt was working fine but when it started wearing too thin i got a new one. As soon as the new one was put...

has anyone checked the tensioner and pulley.th etensioner should operate smooth and without any side play. if the belt is too long, the tensioner will not be able to pull out the "slack" in the belt. the tensioner will have a mark of where it should be with the correct length belt on it.

Perhaps, there is a problem with the tensioner pulleys.
Or as I have recently discovered, when changing drive belts/cutter belts,
They're ever so slightly, not the right length.
Or even, not the right thickness.
But if you can check the tensioner pulley springs, to make sure they tighten up correctly, that might give you a clue as to the problem.
Have fun.
