The problem is most likely the frequency of the A/C power there. In the US our power runs at 60 cycles p/second and the alarm clock uses this to set the time. Sounds like India is running 50 cycles like Europe does. Most likely there is a jumper in the clock because the Ckt board on mine shows a 50/60 hertz setting but with out the board schematics I wouldn't have a clue how to fix it. Sorry not to help more...

The Daylight Saving dates appear to be hard-coded per the manual:
• Start of Daylight Saving Time:
At 1:59.59 AM on the first Sunday in April, the clock will automatically advance to 3:00 AM.
• End of Daylight Saving Time:
At 2:59.59 AM on the last Sunday in October, the clock will automatically reset to 2:00 AM.
So the easiest thing to do is to change your time zone up or down one for the period between the new DST date and the old -- or you can buy a new SmartSet for about $15. The newer ones do not have the same problem.

There is a solution for this already. You can reprogram the clock to use the new DST settings.

These clocks actually was designed to be adjusted to change at the new times too.

To program it you have to follow these instruction
I will post the solution shortly
