Question about Bosch Washing Machines
My Bosch Excell 1200 washing machine made a bang noise[ electrical] with an electronic burning smell....
Upon further inspection the electronic dial settings work fine and display all relevant settings etc though the drum will not fill with water and so no washing can be done, the water pipe going to the machine is not blocked .
The two creamy white round 'things' [approx 1-2'' long x 1'' diameter] are nearest to the water inlet.
To me they seem to be some form of controller/regulator device for the water , temp maybe ? ..anywho
These have two black water pipes coming from nearby.
There is some sooty marks around these two 'cylindars' along with some sooty deposits some way along the brown wire which protrudes from the 'controller device'.
Any one got ideas what they are and how to fix this washing machine ?.

i am a retired engineer of 20 years, and its about a year since i worked on combination washer/dryers but if the heater elements fine and power comes from timer there must be cut out somewhere around where it should warm up, look all round the machine one may be hidden or hard to spot there maybe about 3 one of them one of them could be a trigger device (you can press a button to reset it) that style is a very small cube about the size of a sugar lump with2 spades on it, others look like a small flat oval or round shape the size of a five pence piece with 2 spade wires on them, remove the plug from wall and remove these spades and check the contacts for continuity, you need not remove from machine to do so, no circuit + no heat, replacement item not expensive, thats where to start based on the information given, check the sensors you mention again, it sounds like your so close, good luck and work safe

this is 1 of 2 solutions 2 this problem the first thing to check is the vacuum system or it is a split in the pressure switch hose

it is called water hammer and is difficult to cure. try turning tap off halfway. another cure but difficult and not 100% is to take the copper feed pipe round in a circle

possibly the suppressor capacitor. take lid off and trace where mains input is connected and that is the suppressor. they sometimes go pop
other possibility is the neon burnt out
