I had my DVDR 3355 in a box for a few months. I newly installed and I have no AV signal (Blue presentation of PHILIPS System) at the TV.

Try changing your settings on the AV menus on the TV. Also make sure the AV leads are pushed in fully (I know sounds silly but you'd be surprised!)

Panasonic DVDR-EX77EB all of the channels say NO SERVICE

Full reset/factory reset will remove your record schedule but not your recordings.

Recordings are possibly lost when replacing the software for updated versions.

Connect philips dvdr80 to intigrated freeview tv

Solved the problem by connecting the freeview box back into the dvd recorder. Apparently because the dvdr was made before tvs with integrated freeview, it can only recieve decoded signals from a freeview box, ie analog

1}DVDR 3480 playback on many Dvds widescreen insteadof 4.3 as set. 2) my Vcr. has 3pin phono. Dvdr scart to Phono .Xt2 says nosignal. Phono tophono (cam socket) no signal .cannot copt tape to DVD. 3)B W...

1) The 4:3 / 16:9 option only optimises playback for that particular type of TV. The 4:3 setting also allows you to set the output between:

  • 4:3 PS - expands the picture vertically and horizontally which gets rid of the black bars, but you also lose the left and right edges of the picture.
  • 4:3 LB - Letterbox format, displays the full picture from the disc, with black bars top and bottom.
The PS option loses the bars on 16:9 widescreen DVDs, but may still leave bars on true cinema widescreen DVDs, which are 21.7:9
This is normal.
  • 16:9 - Optimises the picture for a widescreen TV. Again True cinema widescreen DVDs will still have black bars.
2) All of the external inputs will show "No signal" until there is actually a signal playing into them.
EG to copy VHS to DVD, you will need to select the relevant scart or phono input, and press play before the recorder will register a signal and allow recording.
Some bought VHS videos have copy protection, and may cause problems when copying to DVD.

3) Greenish playback maybe caused by colour setting on TV being too high. Also check Hue or Tint settings on the TV, if it has them.

4) For some reason, in their infinite wisdom, Philips omitted the Video Plus facility from this model.

Soltek m b

Sounds like your memory.

How many sticks do you have in it?

Try removing all but 1, or moving that 1 around. You'll have to reset the bios and let it set without power for about 5minutes, between each try.

Pc-chip m957g

sounds like the motherboard has failed. I had those same symptoms this summer. Replaced m/b and it's good again.  Did you count the 'continuous' beeps? That's a code to say what is wrong.

TV, Sky, DVDR, VCR + Wii connection

i cant see any problem with the connections. have you tried to connect the dvdr along with sky to another tv set? and did the same problem occured? if not, try connecting it the same way with another tv. and see if thesame problem would occur. if the same problem appears check if the connections from sky to dvdr scart if it is loose or not. try to clean the solid wire of the cable. if proble still persists dvdr is faulty. if not, defenitely there is a problem with the tv. and i suggest for you to have it checked.
