There are four likely reasons:-
If it is not a frost free refridgerator, the thermostat is iced up and not sensing temperature - defrost the fridge.
The thermostat is faulty and in this case the contents of the fridge should be freezing up - replace the thermostat.
The gas is low in the system and the fridge should then be warmer than normal and the thermostat is trying to compensate by having the compressor running constantly - re-gas the fridge.
The door seal is leaking or the door is not closing fully, allowing cold air to escape - check the seal and the door and correct or replace the seal.

This is the common problem to everyone. Due to defrost failure. Check temp setting is not very low. Keep 5 degree.. Check thermostat, defrost timer are working properly. Now, manuyally press defrost switch or turn counter clockwise your thermostat. Then fridge shuts off and wait for sometimes to get complete defrost and then restart again by turning thermostat clockwise. Helpful?
Should be #4 on single thermostat control and #4 and #4 on dual thermostat control, either will put the fresh food section at 37 degrees and freezer at 0 degrees. Good luck !
The thermostat for the fridge is operated using a spring mechanism and it is different from the thermostat for the freezer. To fix this, open the 2 screws covering the thermostat for the fridge and pull everything out. You can see a block of Styrofoam. Pull it out carefully and you can see there is a small hole with a white thin plastic covering inside it. That is the thermostat. It may be stuck, so I recommend you to put something inside it so that the plastic covering won't block the square hole. Put everything back together, and the problem is fixed. Except that you can't control the temperature for the fridge anymore.
check the damper controller at the center of the fridge. this regulates the air that is coming from the freezer dependent on the signal from the thermistor of the fridge compartment. that is the other thing to check. check it for rresistance and it should change as you change the temperature of the sensor.
