Tube coming thru back of box into icemaker may be clogged with frozen water. this is normally caused by faulty water valve. remove ice and replace valve.

How do you remove icemaker to check if water tube is frozen?

the ice maker is finished. get the ice maker model number and refrgerator model number and buy/ install a new one. It would be a good idea to replace the electric water valve to the ice maker as well.

No ice

Remove the back of the unit, remove the water valve from under the unit without damaging the water line. trade the wires that connect the valves. depress the water selector at the dispencer. if you hear water flowing, replace the dual water valve. You have to achive 15 degrees to cycle the icemaker but in most cases you can lift the bar on the icemaker for 3 minutes and then lower it to cycle the icemaker. If you remove the front white cover from the icemaker , then force clockwise movement on the large cam, the icemaker will then cycle. It requires only a very small amount of force to start the movement. If it doesnt cycle, replace the icemaker. If both the icemaker cycles and the water valve operates, you will need to call a qualified tech to correct the temperature problem if 15 degrees is not achived.

Icemaker does not work

if the ice maker cycles but is not getting water check the water supply valve that supplies the water to the machine it split and sends water to the door and the ice maker that side of the valve that goes to the ice maker could be bad you can test it with a 120 volt line cord plugged in the wall plug to that side of the water valve if it works with the hose disconnected it may be a blockage or frozen line to the ice maker

GE side by side refrig/freezer Mod. TFH24JWTA WH. Ice maker stopped working, stop/start wire is down (on). Get water through the door, but not sure if it goes to the ice maker. Ice maker is empty of water....

usually yes if no water to icemaker could be water valve solenoid. . first you can remove cover on icemaker and put the unit thru a test mode. find the plastic or medal cam in center of icemaker head when cover is removed., theis is a flateblade screw center get a small screwdriver and turn screw counterclockwise for about a 1/4 of a turn , icemaker will start cycling if icemaker ok then it will go througha cycle let it do its thing usually a few minutes for it to cycle, if fills you may have a bad icemaker, if no fill then valve may be bad. make sure you have good water pressure from your water supply that can cause icemaker problems.

Whirlpool IceMagic Plus not working.

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it dumps the ice but doesn't refill , replace the ice maker . If it doesn't dump , and the cubes stay in the ice maker , replace the ice maker .

The switch on the icemaker for normal , runs the icemaker normaly . In the ice plus , a small fan comes on , blowing the inside air , over the ice maker mold , to help it freeze faster .

No water is going to the icemaker.

Seems like the water valve solenoid is not closing the circuit to allow water into the ice bin.

Water seems to be flowing into icemaker fine. When I turn on the icemaker the water flows for a few seconds then stops, I have waited to see if the cycle to dump works and it seems as if it never attempts...

If your freezer temperaures are good i.e. it freezes ice cream and the like, then you need to replace trhe icemaker. Typically, under normal conditions, the icemaker would dump a load of cubes @ every 1-1/2 hours. Icemaker part number WR30x10093 @ $148.00 from Marcone Appinace parts or AP Wagner

New GE profile bottom freezer fridge intermittent buzzing

If the buzzing is a short (say 5 seconds) every once in a while, it sounds like the water is valve being energized. That would mean the icemaker is turned on and is cycling. Besides the noise, when it cycles it turns on the mold heater, which you do not need if not making ice, and thus is actually adding heat to your freezer, increasing operating cost. Just turn the icemaker off by flipping the toggle switch on the icemaker itself. It is a white switch near the bottom corner of the icemaker. Should be easy to spot.

Ice machine not making ice

Hi, everak11,
Three possible solutions for you.
1: No water coming in from inlet valve. Check voltage on inlet if you have voltage and no water then replace valve.
2:Icemaker not cycleing. Lift the arm on the icemaker to shut it off and leave it for about an hour. Come back in and turn the icemake back on by lowering the arm. If the icemaker does not begin a new cycle and the arm start rising then the problem is most likely an icemaker. Replace Icemaker
3:Refrigerator not cold enough. If the freezer is not getting cold enough the icemaker will not cycle. Check the temperature in the freezer and make sure it is getting down to 0 degrees. If not then you may have another problem with your refrigerator. I hope this helps you, Let me know if you have any other questions or symptoms. Mike
