I have an iphone 4 4.10 and the camera wont even open so i cant take pictures

I think the only solution for now is to reset settings.
In settings, go to general, reset, then reset all settings.
If that does not work, you then have to restore your phone, just make sure you back up your files before doing so.
Also check if there are other apps that are conflicting with the native camera application.

The IOS firmware is a pretty stable platform. Sometimes an application or a sync issue occurs which causes the instability in your iphone.
The best way to fix the issues is to restore your iphone 4 to its original settings. You can restore back the settings from a back up copy from a computer that you sync with. The back up is held on yourcomputer that you sync your music/pictures/contacts has a back up of it. (If you don't have your phone backed up, you would need a computer to sync with to make that backup)
How to restore (2 Ways) 1. Restoring it from a computer is connecting it to a computer and waiting for the itunes to recognize the Iphone. From the sync menu, you should have an option showed below.balagotjab_0.jpg
After it restores, sync it back to your computer and it wastore all the settings that you had before. But you must have synced it before.
    2. There is another option to restore the phone. Go to your settings->General (Has a picture of the gears) ->Reset
In this menu there should be another button to Erase All Content and Settings. When you select it, a box will pop up with a red button saying Erase iphone. There is also a warning saying it will delete all media and data and will take up to an hour. Touch the red button and your iPhone will format itself back to factory settings.
Connect it back to your computer to restore the missing contacts/pictures/music and settings.

    IPhone Camera Not Working

    • Ok I found the solution to this problem. This is what worked for me.
    • Apparently the problem lies in a hidden folder called  .MISC under
    • SSH/MobileFinder to Media/DCIM/
    •  (if you are using MobileFinder, make sure to turn on "invisible files" in the settings)
    • Delete this folder which contains the preference file for the camera and the poster picture for the camera's album thumbnail.
    • Try taking a picture again and it should work fine now.
