ASUS M300Np won't start - need to reseat RAM but unable to access

My problem: The ASUS M300Np laptop won't start even when holding the power button down. I could see the three little screws holding the keyboard down but they are right underneath the screen behind the two screen hinges. How do I remove screen hinges and get to unscrew those three little screws to get to reseat the RAM?

Reseating the ram is'nt likely to help but the ac adapter may be bad or the power jack. Also the power board may be bad.

My Asus X553M laptop is not booting up. Any ideas how to fix this problem?

Temitope, Hard reset. Open computer, remove battery, hold power button down (((1 minute))), reinsert battery, reassemble laptop, push/hold power button a couple seconds.
2nd fix, try to boot laptop without hdd.(hard drive). Remove the hdd, then turn on the laptop.. then it can get into the bios.. reset the bios to the default setting, turn off the laptop, and then turn it on again with hdd reinstalled. This seems to be what works in the forums with this issue found in Asus laptops. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Computer does not boot up
The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.
Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

Asus laptop dosn't start

you can also download memtest livecd on a different computer and boot from that and test your ram. it's fairly self explanatory but if you need help you can search for a wiki on the site. it could very well be the ram, but are you getting any kind of power at all? do the lights come on? as the above tech suggested there's a panel on the bottom of the laptop to access the ram, pop them out by pulling outward on the levers on both sides of the chip. leave them both out, turn on the PC see if it boots. if it does then put the ram chips back in one at a time and make sure it still boots if it boots with one and not the other you found your culprit. if you're not getting power at all i would make sure you're getting power from the charger, try a different outlet. try a different charger if you have one.
