Question about Haier CPRD12XH7 Air Conditioner

Open Question

Haier cprd12xh7 portable air heat

Facing the unit, on the left air outlet hose, there is a big white fan easily visible. That fan has come apart (on the right side of the fan). There is still a good 75% of that fan left. In fan mode is the only way I can run it as it doesn't use this fan. I've had the unit for about a year and a half. Do you think I could damage the unit if I clean out the broken fan parts and run as usual.

SOURCE: E2 error code on Haier cprd12xh7 portable air conditioner

Hi! You need to check pump filter. It could be jammed with a coin or hair clip. Now take the machine outside and empty it then lay it on its side and you can access the pump. Take it off, stand up the machine and pour hot water into the soap draw and check water should run out of bottom freely taking any fluff or bits with it. Now take apart the pump and clean it and dry all components before re-assembly. If the machine still doesn?t work then you need to replace the pump. Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance. Thanks Rylee

SOURCE: haier cprd12xh7 air and heat unit

Hello. after reading you're situation on this unit, I am not sure what this fan you are talking of, what role it plays in the system. Maybe a secondary fan for extra air flow if needed. You say it has come apart? What I picture is the fan blade not the motor is plastic and pieces have broken off. With many years with experience working on motors of all sizes, voltage, from 300 H.P. to 1/16 a/c motors and more, I would say you will be fine if you remove the broken parts of the prop/blade and run as usual. You say you don't run the fan but if you do run it and you say you have 75% of the prop left on it, as long as it isn't out of balance and the prop/blade is plastic, no damage will will take place at all. If you loose any more of this fan blade, I wouldn't use this fan until you can find another to replace it, but I strongly believe that you will be fine if you clean the parts out and run a you always would with not causing any damage at all to this unit. So, the answer to you're question is no, you will not cause any damage to this unit, and go right ahead and do what you wanted to do, it will be fine!! Contact me anytime if you have any more questions about any other problems you may encounter and need help. Thank you for using all of us here at Fixya.com, as we are here to help you solve you're problems and we are the best around to do this!!!

PS, If this were a condenser fan motor, blower, heater inducer, you would need to replace the blade as the unit would not run anyway as it would shut down on high head pressure or you would have a frozen evaporator coil if this were to happen. I am talking on central a/c and Heating units only...

Hi I've just purchased a used HPRD12XC5 portable air conditioner. It did not come with Air Intake/Outlet hoses, exhaust adapter or window slider kit. Is there somewhere I can buy these? Thanks -...

Harry. if you purchased it from a brick and mortar store, rather than online. Return it to the store for replacement. Or you can get it from Haier under warranty, with your Proof of Purchase. It's more to it than just the air intake and the exhaust hoses.

You can contact Haier Customer Support at 877-337-3639.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

MODEL CPRD12HX7-Q THE UNIT WILL NOT TURN ON AND...

I have the same model and if you have been running the dehumidifier the internal water tank will fill with condensate water. You will need to unplug the black plug (in back of unit) to release the pints of water it has accumulated in the tank. Be sure to have a pan under the plug as it will drain immediately. Do not tip the portable unit if you need to put in a shower stall to drain, as water will leak out of the internal water tank into your unit. Hope this helps.

I have this same model TV and I use it with as

You probably need an RF (radio frquency) modulator to be connected between the cable and the TV. Connect the cable to the ANT IN on the RF modulator and then use the TO TV outlet OR the three RCA outlets (yellow video, red left audio channel, white right video channel) to connect to the Haier portable TV

I bought two such modulators made by TriQuest at a local surplus-type store (i.e. Big Lots) for about ten bucks each.

Incidentally the TriQuest unit also has an S-video output.

Exhaust hose

i could not find that model number on the haier website www.haieramerica.com you can get the manuals and parts list there. you dont need the haier hose however lowes and home depot sell what im guessing is three or four inch hose that you can use say a dryer vent flex hose or alumaflex hose to connect this unit. unless you are going for the looks.

Room temperature reads 95-99 degrees F, not cooling the room

one hose is the heated condensing air and one hose is the intake air. if this unit is not working correctly and u just purchased it take it back. if the landlord will replace it tell them. do not call a service tech to check this unit out if u know 4 sure the temp is set right and it continues to blow hot and the exhaust hose blows outside and the unit is set to cool you are money ahead to replace it. hopefully a landlord or recent purchase can bail you, you can find these units at home depot lowes and get them 4 about 400 dollars. hopefully it's covered somehow by warranty or landlord but the cost for checkout and service will exceed the cost for replacement. have you tried to unplug the unit leave it unplugged and try again. have u cleaned the filter. have you noticed ice anywhere. maybe a light that tells you the drain is plugged i don't wan't to get you're hopes down when you are burning up but check these things and let me know if u see any abnormalities. do you leave the unit running in hopes that you will come home and it works? check for ice is there air blowing constantly? if u dont get air flow you could have a fan thats out or its iced up. let me know.
