New air conditioner not working P1 error

We just installed an Everstar portable air conditioner purchased at Home Depot. We vented it outside through the wall as the window extension was too short for our window.
When we turned it on we get a P1 error which means drain pan is full. We have not used it so there is no water in it. The compressor does not work because of the error.
Is this a defective conditioner?

Great idea but how do you get to the drain pan?

Thank you so much for your help. our model number is MPN1-095cr-bb6 9500 BTU We looked everwhere to find it. We are ready to just take it back.

Thank you again. There is nothing in the manual that even shows a drain pan. I have already contacted the service people. They have yet to return my phone call.

Check float for drain pan is not taped up for shipping, and remove whatever is holding it up & let it drop down, into pan.

Is there not an access panel to get drain pan out? I'll have to check model & see what we're looking at. Nothing in manual I take it.

I'll track it down tonight when I get home from work, but if you look in manual, it may also have a customer service number you can call if you want to try that while waiting.

Sorry I got tied up, have you had any luck yet solving this? I hate to say it but, I'm seeing a lot of these brand of units with problems & by the sounds of it, service isn't too good either. I'll keep digging if you haven't already taken it back for refund. let me know.

Everstar portable AC not cooling, what do I do?

Same thing happened a few weeks ago. My wife said " its not cooling". I read the manual and it says., Clean filters ...we did and hello. works fine. She was so frustrated she was going to take it back. These filters accummulate dust fast. So check there first. Hope this helps.

I would lkike to know where to get replacement filters or an extension exhaust duct.

Need owners manual for Everstar Portable AC MPM1-10CR-BB6

Needed the manual to clarify a P1 error message. Figured how to fix the error P1 on my own. there are two drains on the unit, one is always open as an overflow drip, the other at bottom of unit has a plug. I opened the plug at the bottom of the unit, drained the water, and the P1 error code cleared.

My unit has a P1 error and has stopped

Pull out the water container. Make sure the black floater switch is not stuck or impedes from working properly. If this doesn't work, need to look at replacing this

Where do I find parts for everstar portable air conditioners

I just purchased a 11,000 BTU Everstar from Home Depot. Not sure if it's the same model that you have. Maybe check there? I bet an employee would be willing to open one of the boxes to answer your question. Just tell them you bought it there. :) Or call Everstar, of course. Good luck!

Everstar Air Conditioner

probably, the p1 signals that the water pan is either full or not sitting properly. There is a small lever that it pushes when the tray is pushed in. It is a switch that might have pushed out of its housing. Mine had and I had to dissasemble the unit to get the switch back in place, then it worked fine. Good luck. Dean
