Yellow and blue wires control stop light. If you have them right, tailight will always be on, and go bright when you hit the brakes. You shouldn't need the ground wire if your new light has metal contact to the fender. OEM light has a plastic chrome spacer which is non-conductive.The solid yellow wire you see here is for the brake light.--------- Check that wire.It should be connected right.------- Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.

Replace rear light

Sounds like you need to have it installed professionally. You could damage your wiring on the bike if you mess it up.

Trailer light hook-up

We do not have the wiring diagrams. But here is the red neck method, use a 12 volt test light probe tool (any parts stores for $5) and as a friend operates each light circuit, probe the connector or harness and see what lights up, then mark the wire color and what it does, brake lights, turn signals etc.

Wiring rear led tail lights

first remove the wire you hook up rear tail and break circuit. (1)install ground wire to the frame (2)turn on the head light switch and go to the rear to find the +12 volt on the wire then hook it up to the led tail circuit, it should only light up that circuit but if both still come on then the new led unit is not config right. Replace it or have it modified. if only the tail circuit is on then go to (3)cut off the head light switch and have someone step on the break peddle then fine the +12 volt on the wire and hook it up to the brake led circuit.(only the brake circuit should be on) hope this help you. .

I am trying to install a towing connector 7 pin flat but am unsure as to which wire is the tail/ stop/ indicator have a 2007 acr50 tarago and have removed the lineing from the rear compartment and found...

It is OK to hook up your 7 pin connector to your factory LED tailights. The one thing you do not want to do is let your positive side of your LED`s come in contact with ground, this will blow your diode(LED). You can buy a little 12 volt light tester at your local auto repair shop(Oreilly`s or Autozone) for under 5 dollars and simply turn each lamp/light on individually to locate the proper connections. Four wires will be for your standard connection. 1 is ground, 2nd is running lights, 3rd is left turn signal/brakes, and 4th is right turn signal/brakes. The other 3 connectors will most likely need to wired.

Hi i am changing the rear end of my 04 harley softail herritage, i have bought new turn signals and tail and stop light.my problem is this.the new turn signals have a green wire each ,one also has a blue...

Get a test light and stick the probe in the connector on the bike and clip the other end to a good ground. Turn on the key and run the turn signals, brake light and running light. Move the probe from hole to hole until you find the turn signal flash, the brake light and the running light. Obviously, the turn signals will flash, the brake light will go on and off when you hit the pedal, and the running light will stay on constantly. the three wires on the brake light are ground, brake and running light. Should be a simple matter to figure out which wires go where from here. If you are using digital lights, i.e. LED lights, the current only flows one way. As an example, if you hook up the turn signals and they don't work, reverse the wires.

Integrated tail problem

firstly ground them two wires and see what happens

you have got something screwed up if you gotta take fuses out to get stuff to work.

i find it easy if i draw what i have on paper first. you should have 3 wires for tail and 2 each for turns. those maybe 3 blacks, 1 green, 1 brown, 1 blue, 1 yellow.
