Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

It sounds like the shutdown is due to the card overheating. Does your card have a fan on it? If so that is probably where the buzzing noise came from. The fan either broke or is disconnected and thus the card is overheating. Try blowing out the fan with compressed air and making sure it is properly connected. If it is broken or you have no fan you may need to order a replacement fan or heat sync to fix your problem or get a new video card.

I am not really good with this kind of computer stuff so im going to word this the best i can... i did not buy this new i got it from my brother in- law but after my monitor turns on its fine but getting...

The VGA inputs on these things can be a bit flaky. The DVI inputs work pretty well. I'm going to guess you're using the VGA input, given the problems you're having. There really isn't a fix, as far as I've been able to find.

Viewsonic VX724 monitor flashes on/off every few seconds.

Check for puffy capacitors, they will be bulging instead of having a flat top like most good ones do. If you see any puffy capacitors, be sure to replace them with capacitors with the same UF rating, voltage of the capacitor can be the same or higher.

If you don't see any puffy caps then it could be the screen itself that is bad. If thats the case then the monitor itself is bad.

My Casio Exilim EX S-600 stopped working. I tried to charge &nada

The lense of the camera might be stuck, this happened to me. I fiddled with it abit and it turnt on (before it didnt turn on when the lense was stuck). Try this but if it does not work buy new rechargeable batteries at stores such as currys, maplin, pc world, some local supermarkets ect.
Otherwise go to the store you brought this from (with receipe) and ask for techniqucal support. This will be free of charge if they find that it is a manifactural problem.
Good luck

There are bulbs that light up the display so you can see it on the inside. They go out, just like the bulb in your bathroom. No way to fix this and get the dam thing back together. Toss it and get a new one. I've got photos of the one I took apart. It's a mess. But very cool to look at.
