Question about GE WSXH208A Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Frontloader won't spin

Everything seems to be working. We cleaned out the hoses and got rid of a lot of change and a guitar pick. Still won't spin. Could it be a cellunoid that won't kick it into high gear for spinning. Now you know how much I know. (:

I am using LG frontLoading washing machine! My machine works with all cycles until it comes to drain water it shows no drain signal! we took the dirty water out from the bottom part still it shows no...

Are you getting the "OE" message? This seems to be a common problem with these machines based on all the posts I've seen. I had a similar issue and I am down to replacing the main drain water pump. Have you been cleaning the filter at the bottom of the machine regularly (our problem started here)? Are you using "low sudsing" soap? Are you following LG's suggestions for how much soap to use? and hopefully . . . . is it still under warranty? There are a lot of good posts here with training manuals and everything. Good luck. didn't answer the question did I?
Is the OE message coming on? -> (YES) -> *** TURN OFF AND UNPLUG MACHINE 120vac AND WATER DON'T MIX EVER! ** a) Drain via little black hose in front.b) Remove filter(big black round thing next to drain hose) and clean within an inch of its life. Take a flash light and shine in the hole to see if anything is stuck in the baffle (good choice of names), if so remove the object carefully so as not to tear the rubber. c) with a wet towel (you'll have some in front of you by now) clean the filter receptacle of all the crud. d) PRAY!! e) plug machine back in it should make it's happy sound. f) pick a short rinse/spin cycle (keep praying) and push "go". If all goes well it will fill do some agitating and then start to drain. If it drains your done. I'll be over with my clothes as I am waiting for parts to fix my drain. I didn't pray hard enough I guess. If (NO) -> Sensor may be bad but I've not seen anyone with the drain not working and the OE not lit. Keep trolling here you'll find something. Cheers Myles

Keeps flashing E20 and won't run a cycle

code E21 Yep.. it's a relitively easy fix that just isn't worth calling a repair guy for. Get the washer laying on it's side and using the access hole on the bottom Carefully remove the screw clamp holding the large hole of the rubber housing to the tub drain (it will be obvious all other clips are green compression clips) Carefully work the strainer out of this flexible rubber drain housing through the large hole.. you will be amazed at what you will find.. I found 86 cents, hair clips, a guitar pick ;-) and a bunch of lint. Clean it out and replace.. you will be good to go. You should do this at least yearly.. clothes will spin out dryer and save you drying costs. I also removed all the hoses and found a lot of buildup of gunk. I attribute this to powdered soap as I haven't seem as much buildup with liquid soaps. I would AVOID powdered soaps in these machines.

Won't drain right

Check the pump. There is most likely something obstructing it. It is probably a coin or something like that. There should be 2 hoses that attach to pump. One that the water comes into and one that the waterwill discharge. It will be one the the water discharges from. Make sure that you get a pan or bowl so when you disconnect the hose the water will go in this instead of on the floor.

Frigidaire Gallery Series Frontloader no final spin

I had the same problem. Here's a link that might help:
I removed the hoses and pump and found the filter in the hose leading from the washer was clogged with a shoelace, $2.35 in loose change and a few GI Joe issued M4's. :-) Once I pulled that filter out and cleaned the **** the washer runs like a champ.

GE front loader will not drain or final spin.

I had the same problem with mine about 10 months ago. It seemed that the washer would take forever to wash a load. Every time we went to check the remaining time, it seemed that it never changed. This went on for about a week. We discovered that the washer was not draining properly. After we took it apart, we discovered that a sock, along with some other items, had managed to find its way into the drain pipe. Once we removed the stoppage, and cleaned out the gunked up piping, everything worked well. If we could only find a permanent solution to the ripping door gasket (I have to buy one today; it's the 4th one!!!!).

BTW - I contacted GE about the problem, via email and phone, and they were clueless and not very helpful.

My GE front loading washer will not drain the water

Try cleaning the filter, too.  The bottom front panel on your washer should come off by removing 3 screws.  We found a bunch of junk (it was full of lint, change, and other gross stuff).  Make sure to check back up in the hose if you can, too.  Our filter was so full, the lint and junk was backing up into the hose.  That worked for us and saved us a service call.  Hope this helps.  There is another problem, similar to yours, posted on this website with a lot more information and a bunch of testimonials (mine included).  You might want to search for that one to get more info.
