Coleman Powermate Pulse 1750. Engine runs great but no power output. Connections are OK, can't find any shorts or opens, this was in storage about 2 years.

No, this generator has a circuit breaker which checks good, I even checked for output at the leads coming out of the stator, got zip. Havna found any regulator or controller. The basics I know, this has me baffled. Thanks, /K/

No, I meant zip for output, no matter where i checked, leaving me to consider the regulator or controller, not found it yet, musta be hid real good.

Is this "Zap" continuing through the meter connections also?

Is there a knurled knob fuse cover on the panel near the output sockets? If so check the fuse, this is not an unusuall instance.

Okay, this is going to sound kind of hard but you can do need to flash the field and try to get some 'excitation' back to the windings. It's a bit of a deal but here's how:

With gen not running, plug the battery charge plug in to the charger output and you need to reverse the leads at the battery. Hook the BLACK to the positive post. Then, just touch the red to the negative terminal for a second or two. That's it!
Then...start gen and check output. If it just needed a flash, that will do it, I'm serious!

Have a coleman powermate 6750 generator that has quit producing power.

If the engine is running with the alternator not outputting then you must check with the LOAD TRIP switch.
if not remove the load and check if there is output. If not there is fault in tha alternator which might need some consensus.

Powermate 5000 generator motor working .no elektricity

If the genset is working but there is no output then it is possible that the circuit breaker has TRIPPED due to short in the line. So remove the load to the genset and power the engine . Now switch on the mains switch and see if there is output. It there is no output then it is possible that there are problems in the ALTERNATOR. You will need to check if there is safety cut off/fuse that has failed or there is problems in the wiring.

No AC out put

After working on several of this style coleman generator,i have found that the lead wires in the windings that are soldered to where your brushes would contact tend to break.I don't know if it's a poor design or just a fluke,i would check to see if your getting continuity on the rotor and go from there. They seem to either "burn off" or just break.

Older Coleman 3500 Watt generator, sitting for over 2 years. engine starts and runs normally, but no power generated.

there can be many reasons. need more info:
Is it Inverter typr generator?

measure output voltage - anything?
take back cover off generator itself, measure continuity of stator and rotor, and visually inspect windings. You'll find AVR module there too, it may be the reason.

I have a Coleman Powermate Pulse 1750 generator. The engine runs fine but lately I've noticed I'm only getting approx. 105 volts. Any suggestions.

Engine speed is low, does your meter read frequency? Set for 60 Hz @ speed. I doubt there is a voltage regulator adjustment. This may help

I have a Coleman Powermate Pulse 1850 Generator.

If the generator hasn't been used for awhile the rotor may have lost it's magnetism. All you need is to re-excite it. There are several websites that explain how to do this. It's a good place to start.
