Hi,
We have several problems on our NetWare 5.0 SP6a server with the Novell
Gateway and and its port handler. I hope to solve the problems with the
newest firmware for the NIB 450-E printserver (Ricoh Aficio 350). But where
can I download the firmware??
Thanks in advance,
Patrik

Patrik,
I have a Gestetner. I believe Ricoh and Gestetner are essentially
the same machines. I've been told updates such as firmware are only
available thru your reseller.

These are available through your re-seller.
Coupla pointers though....
1) The first production release Ver. on the NIB 450-E was V2.31a.
2) The current (most recent) is V4.02B (according to info I was given
by the techie).
3) Depending on the version you have, the techie would need to do 2
upgrades to get you to V4.02B.
4) Make sure you have IPX enabled on the NIB. That way the upgrade can
be recovered if it goes wrong. (Or so I was told). Two of our NIBs had
to be replaced cos the upgrade went wrong.
5) Get the techie to bring out a spare (ugraded) card if possible to
prevent any downtime.
