SOURCE: Clean cycle in oven doesn't work: FO EO

Oliversmom, Im not coming up with any information on the model number posted. However on the kitchenaid the F0 E0 is default for no error. Press the cancel button to put the range in idle state. Then in this order press cancel-cancel-start. See if an error code comes up different from the F0 E0. The F0 is what is throwing this whole deal off. If it was F1, F2, F3 etc...it would make more sense. See if you have a complete model number you can post along with the error code after doing the above key dance. We'll see if we can solve the issue....Catriver..post back.

SOURCE: oven section not working

beaver, the F5-E5 is the code for self clean temp not achieved after 30 minutes. This makes sense since you are having trouble pre-heating your oven on regular bake. I believe your ignitor is not drawing enough amps to open the gas valve all the way. Sometimes these can be erratic, work sometimes, sometimes won't. Your part number for the oven ignitor is 9782065. SOURCE: gas stove /electric starter won't click to start cleaned stove

Try cleaning the starter with rubbing alcohol and toothbrush. There might be soap or boiled over residue on the starter. If that doesn't work, try using fine 150 grit sandpaper and gentle clean the starter with it. This problems drove me nuts too. Good luck!

SOURCE: After using the self-clean cycle, display panel went black and oven door stayed locked.

Happens alot dont feel bad , self clean mode runs the elements at 500 deg. to cook off everything possible , what happens is the cabinet gets to hot and heats saftey temp. fuses until they go out and they are not resetable. they are always located in different areas of ranges but usaully in the back. you can ohm them out to check them if you have a meter.let me know if you have any other questions.

Lost Manual and would like instruction on how to set for self clean cycle?

Make sure you have everything out of the oven, including the oven racks.

1. Press SELF CLEAN.
2. Press the TEMP/TIME "+" or "-" arrow pads to enter the desired self-clean cycle.
3. Press START.
The oven door will automatically lock. The DOOR LOCKED and CLEAN indicator lights will be
displayed.
4. When the self-clean cycle is complete and the oven cools, the DOOR LOCKED and CLEAN
indicator lights will turn off.
5. When the oven is completely cooled, remove ash with a damp cloth.

Recommended times are 2 hours 30 minutes for light soil and 4 hours 30 minutes for heavy soil.

If your oven has a HI and LO self clean time, HI is 4 hours 30 minutes and LO is 3 hours 30 minutes.

It is also recommended that you remove anything plastic from the top of the stove during cleaning.

Same thing with my one and 1/2 year old KGSS907 series stove

Yes it is fixed. Did a temporary jumper of the over temp fuse to use the oven one night. Installed a replacement 130 degree fuse with a mica transistor insuator under it instead of being mounted directly on the back side of the oven. This raised the range to about 150 degrees.
Thanks for the help

How to clean gas oven

hi,

use a 2 hour self clean cycle for light soils and a 3 hour cycle for heavier soils. The kitchen area should be well ventilated using an open window, ventilation fan or exhaust hood during the 1st self clean cycle. This will help eliminate the normal odors associated with the 1st self clean cycle.
when the controls are set, the oven door will lock and the “LOCK” indicator light will flash. DO NOT open the oven door while the light is flashing

MGR5755QDS disable control panel lock

The clean cycle heats the oven to a very high temperature to burn off the dirt. The oven stays hot for a long time after cleaning. The stove will lock itself as a safety feature for several hours until it cools down. If this goes on for more than 4 hours after the clean cycle is over, call the Whirpool Customer Care number (in the US, I assume): 1-866-698-2538
