Listen to instructions on which number to press to delete messages you need to listen to saved messages ( this will be one of the number options) and after the message plays you will hear a choice of what each number on key pad does one of them will be delete message or ask mobile phone network provider as it is different for each provider.
is it possible you have sub-folder or a junk mail folder that is still full? Is it possible that the mail is still resident on the server mailbox that your Iphone connects to?
When you call, are you just calling the number, or are you logging in as the user? You have to log in as the user to get access to the controls. Once you do that, select the "other options" command, and empty not just new messages, but saved messages too. If that doesn't work, contact your provider.

If you are using yahoo mail, or any other mail you will notive that their is box at the beggining of the mail send/message click that box, then click delet botton. If you want to delet many messages just click the box as many as you want then select delet botton that is found either at the top or at the bottom of the web page.
