Go to the Page Format menu and deactivate the Mirror feature if it's been accidentally selected. It should also clear out if you cycle power on the plotter.

If this doesn't work, check your printer driver settings to see if mirror is selected there.

I know little about HP cameras but I've been working on HP plotters going back to the 7580 series pen plotters roughly a decade before the first DesignJet. I've personally written print drivers for PCL, HP/GL and HP/GL2 for pen plotters, electrostatic, inkjet, and laser printers and DO know what I am talking about on this.

This feature is very real and on occasion very useful although as a practical matter today people will almost always use the feature in their CAD program.

If re-setting it on the plotter doesn't work, check the print settings on your CAD program. You can also check the Advanced Tab on the Printer Driver as Mirror is a selectable option there in most cases as well.

Which printer print mirror image?

If your printer won't print mirror image, try editing the document so that the mirror image appears on your screen. All printers will print that.
I know MS Word has that capability.
I hope that is of help.

My Printer HP Deskjet D2300 is printing in mirror image format. how to release the problem to normal method

Issue After downloading and installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 on the computer, the HP product prints text and images backwards or as a mirror image of what appears on-screen when printing from any program. Solution To resolve the issue, turn off mirror imaging in Printer Preferences . To do this, use the following steps:
  1. From the Windows taskbar, click Start and then click Control Panel .
  2. If your computer is in category view, click Printers and Other Hardware , and then click Printers and Faxes . If your computer is in classic view, click Printers and Faxes .
  3. Right-click the HP product from the list of printers, and then select Properties . The Properties dialog box displays.
  4. From the General tab, click Printing Preferences . The Printing Preferences dialog box displays.
  5. Click the Advanced tab.
  6. Under Printer Features , click Mirror Image , click the down arrow to the right of the field, and then click Off .
  7. Click OK to apply the change.

Trust this helps. Please vote. :)

Print is coming out reversed

Somewhere in printing preferences, in control panel, and printer properties, there's a selection for mirror image printing for t-shirt stencils and the like. You just need to turn off mirror image printing and it goes back to normal.

Print mirror image gel printer GX700

The mirror image setting is in the printer properties/ printing preferences. You can either go to control panel/printers/properties, or when you press print, and the window pops up, in printing preferences you can choose the mirror image setting.

When you select "Print" and get the print window to confirm....select "Preferences". On the Advanced or Effects tab, look for the "Mirror Image" menu item. Turn it Off. If you cannot find it, comment back.

(BTW, the Mirror Image option is normally used to print t-shirt transfers.)

Printing backwards

When you get the print window, click "Properties", then click on the "Advanced" tab. Look for a "Mirror Image" menu item. It should say "Off". If not, click on it and you should get a drop down box to change it to off.

Mirror image printing

The simplest way to do it if the feature is not supported in your printers driver (most do not feature the option) is to nmirror the image in a graphics package such as Photoshop.

It's easy enough to do and once mirrored simply print it as normal and the image will still be reversed on the print out.

Printing Iron-on Transfers
Load the iron-on transfers.

With your document open, click File, then Print. The Print dialog box appears.

In the Print dialog box, click Properties, Preferences (or Options).

Select a print quality:
In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Quality/Copies tab.
From the Quality/Speed area, select Normal or Better.

Select a paper type:
In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Paper Setup tab.
From the Type area, select Iron-on Transfer.

If your software program does not have mirror or iron-on settings, select a print layout:
In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Print Layout tab.
From the Layout area, select Mirror.
Click OK.

To print your iron-on transfers, click OK.

NOTE: To prevent smudging, remove each iron-on transfer as it exits the printer and then let it dry before stacking.
