My samsung dishwasher will not drain? What could be causing this problem. We checked the line and it is not plugged.

when you first start the dishwasher the first thing it will always do is drain, does it make the normal draining sounds or is it a low pitch humming noise? if its a low pitch humming something is stuck in the drain pump like a peice of chicken bone or glass, if it sounds normal then there is a blockage somewhere and 9/10 times its the little drain spiggot that the drain hose plugs onto under your sink, they often block up as the pipe diameter gets smaller there

Fisher and paykel dishwasher top draw does not unload water after the wash

The pump is faulty or the drain hose is blocked. You need to take the pump rotor out from the base of the drawer and inspect the sump for blockages. Usually a seed or chicken bone stuck between the drain sump and the pump rotor sump.

Water Won't drain fro the dishwasher model Blanco bfdw650s

If you "Lower" the hose to the bucket and it "drains" you are just using gravity to remove the water. The pump may be helping a little but if you raise the hose up and the water stops coming out, it's a good indication that the pump is bad. Unless the place you are attaching the hose to is plugged up, you need a new pump or a new impellor. Since the motor is good, try to get a replacement impellor, that the thing that moves the water. One other thing, you did say how well it washes the dishes? If the impellor is bad, it probably doesn't.

The last one to two inches of water does not drain out

It sounds like you have something in the small water pump at the base of the dishwasher that pumps the dirty water through the hose into your sink drain. Remove the lower front panel of the dishwasher, unscrew the hose clamp and pull off the hose, then unscrew the pump so u can inspect it. Usually you will find a chunk of glass, or bone or other debris which is blocking the pump partially.

Dishwasher not draining

The drain pump maybe jammed - this happened to me; a small piece of chicken bone got past the filter.

I took the bottom panel off to access the pump, removed the debris, put it all together and it's worked fine since (over a year). It's a messy job, with all the water etc, but it's taught me to clean the filter regularly :-)

UNPLUG FROM THE MAINS AND WATER SUPPLIES BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS. ELECTRICITY AND WATER DON'T MIX AND CAN KILL.

If in doubt put your hand deep in your pocket and call out a tech.

Neff Dishwasher won't drain

I've had this problem a couple of times with my dishwasher. In both cases, the cause was a shard of broken glass that had managed to get past the filters and jam itself underneath the impellor. Hard to see, but easy to fix. First ladle out the water.
Pull off the lower rotor arm, unscrew the filter and take out the filter bowl, tray and cylindrical filter. Get as much water as you can out of the filter cavity.
Then, using a Torx-20 driver, remove the screw holding the impellor cover and lift the cover off. (this is the small bit of plastic at the left end of the filter cavity.) Check whether the impellor can rotate freely by spinning it with your finger several times - if it jams or grinds, then there's probably something jammed under it. (It may seem to be fine at first, so do check thoroughly, as any debris can move around with the water flow and only jam occasionally) You may have to use a cocktail stick or similar to poke out anything that's stuck underneath.
Glass is a particular problem, since it's almost impossible to see when there's any water around (it's easy to cut yourself too!)

Anyway, that's worked twice for me now - and I didn't have to even move the machine out of its cupboard to fix it.
Hope that helps.
