We have hard water deposits on the pump and motor not cleaning

We have hard water deposits on the pump and motor and need to take it apart for cleaning. We removed the 6 screws in the housing but the sprayer arm and top to the motor won't come off. How do we get it apart so we can use CLR and clean out the housing and sprayer? Our dishes are not getting cleaned because water is not getting out with enough force.

Without a model number, or even a brand / manufacturer, it is nearly impossible to tell you how your product comes apart. Many brands have a screw (often times with left hand threads) holding the spray arm on, while others may come off by just lifting on the spray arm while turning it CCW, or might have locking clips which need to be released.
In any case, before going that far, go to a hardware, appliance parts, or possibly grocery store to find a product called Dishwasher Magic. It is in a small rectangular bottle. Use that as directed in a cycle to clean out your dishwasher. The spray arms may need to be cleaned out of blockage from candy wrapers, toothpicks, seeds, etc., or possibly even replaced if unable to fully clean out. Also, dishwashers will not clean very well if you are using hard water. I'd suggest looking into installing a water softener.

Machine is clogged and water will not drip through to make espresso. the steam frother works sort of

Did your User Manual have a section that tells you how to clean out mineral deposits and hard water scale? Usually, this is done by filling the resevoir with white vinegar and then turning the machine ON for 30 seconds then OFF for 5 minutes. Keep repeating the ON-OFF cleaning cycle until all the vinegar is pumped into the carafe. If the machine needs further cleaning. Repeat the process until the scale and mineral deposits are dissolved. Finally, flush the machine with a full resevoir of clean water and run a normal BREW cycle. Should work like new.

My Bissell carpet shampooer will not dispense water or cleaning solution, nor is the "flow indicator" spinning

most of the Bissell carpet cleaners that have the water heating feature stop pumping water at one time or another. Make sure the belt is still on the pump and if it is then the problem is probably in the heater core in the handle. Hard water deposits plug the tiny little water ways inside the heater core. Pull the heater core and take it apart and clean it with a strong scrub brush and I think vinegar works for cleaning I was told. I just use soap and a brush. Then flush all your lines with hot water. The cause is from hard water deposits or leaving the soap in the cleaner after you use it. Both will stop it from pumping water

My shark vac and steam wont pump water to steam

Likely you have used tap water and there is now mineral deposits blocking the flow. I posted a video on how to take it apart to clean it.

ALternatively, people have had success in putting CLR into the tank or Vinegar and pumping the unit and leaving it overnight in attempt to clear the blockage that way. I gave up and just took it apart and found a significant amount of mineral deposits blocking things up.

10 yr old Kenmore dishwasher was leaking, cycling ok but dishes are not coming out clean. Took about bottom spray unit, found a split plastic round ring about 1.5" dia. Could this be the problem or what...

The ring fits just under the spray arm and the split is normal. When you tore the spray assembly apart, did you clean the screens at the bottom (if white hard-water deposit, soak in 50:50 hot water and white vinegar)? Make sure none of the ports in the deck are plugged with food deposits. Check both spray arms for plugged spray holes or split seams. The upper arm moves from water pressure alone--no motor. Make sure it spins freely by hand. We had to try different detergents to get away from a gritty deposit on glassware. Did you fix the leaking problem? Inspect the gasket seal around the door for damage or hardness and check the latch for holding the door closed firmly. Hope some of this helps!

Dishwasher deposits dirt on dishes. Grit, small particles.

I have the same problem. We cleaned the dishwasher out because the grit was coming from the dishwasher...however, we still have dirt/grit in our dishes, but a lot less. How do we get rid of this all together?

The milk pods do not fully empty

The problem is with the air pump motor. You need to take it apart and then clean the diaphragm and the air passages in the plastic housing. You also need to clean the tube from the pump to the multi valve. The air pump is located right in the middle above the water pump. Mine was white in color. Remove the electrical terminals and note location. There are four plastic tongs that need to be carefully pride apart then the unit can be cleaned. After cleaning return the motor back together and the machine should be working fine again.

Broken glass in tub and now dishwasher leaks from pump. It is hard to see exactly where the water is coming from but it appears to be above the pump.

Hello- By pump do you mean motor pump, or drain pump? Drain pump has a small seal that can leak but rarely does. Motor has a seal that can leak, causing motor to fail eventually. This is confirmed by a small amount of water/deposits on lowest point of motor. This leak is unrelated to glass pieces in tub. Motors with this leak get louder as bearing fails, and eventually lock up. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed- Thanks- Ed

I pour water in my Bunn VPR coffee maker and it does not come out of the sprayer.

you need to take it apart and clean it out. hard water is horrible on these machines. once every three to four months we clean ours. take the top off and you will see all the calcium deposits. need to clean it out. you can use CLR, just make sure you run the hell out of it before serving. you may need to let it sit over night once you get the majority of it out. after that you can run "brew-right" through it. just follow directions
