Cuisinart DGB-700BC grinds but no grounds in the basket.

Yesterday it went through the normal procedures for making coffee but no grounds in the basket. Today the same. I emptied the coffee out and cleaned out all the debris put some beans in and the grinder made grinding noises but nothing in the basket again. Any ideas.

We have had a similar problem but ONLY with Starbucks coffee beans. Starbucks seems to put some type of coating on, at least some of their beans causing the problem.

If there isn't a blockage, you should check the size of the grounds. I have a similar model coffeemaker from Cuisinart, and it wasn't grinding up my beans fine enough to get through the built in screen on the grinder. I proceeded to purchase a replacement grinder, thinking maybe the grinding blade had dulled. When I put the new grinder in, I got the same problem....so now I think my issue is the grinding motor in the machine is on its last leg. I know this hasn't totally solved your problem, but it may help get you on the right track.

Hi there, you have some kind of blockage, If the beans are going down, you need to remove the brewer unit and wash it, if the beans arent going down the exit of the grinder is blocked and needs to be removed, cleaned and replaced

could be using incorrect filters for a different coffee maker, sorry if this sounds obvious but this is the first thing i would think it was unless the water flow is adjustable and coming through quicker than the filter can drain it through

I have a cuisinart grind & brew coffee pot that leaks when I put water in it. How can I open it to see where the water is coming from?

The Manual for your coffee maker can be found here:

http://www.cuisinart.ca/pdf/ibs/en/DGB-600BCC_en.pdf

'Leaks' are usually caused by overfilling either the water reservoir or the coffee basket or by coffee grounds interfering with a seal.

Make sure you perform a complete cleaning on your coffee maker making sure any contact points which need to seal are free of coffee grounds.

Instructions for removing the grinder and filter baskets are contained within your manual.

DGB-550BK Filter basket won't stay shut when either brewing ground coffee or grinding beans.. With the ground; the basket pops open mid brew and makes a mess everywhere. When grinding beans, I've noticed...

Not a solution but...

Many folks have reported this, the latching mechanism wears out eventually.
We had the problem but discovered that the door on the basket wasn't getting completely closed. Now I make sure it's closed and haven't had any problem since.
Hope this solves your issue - if not, keep an eye on yard sales, we picked up two at different times for $5 and now have parts to swap out - not much help for a failed latch though.
Glad I never paid full price for it, even though it's a fairly good grinder/brewer.

My cuisinart grind and brew model dgb-700bc shuts off right before it is done brewing and i am getting coffee grounds in my coffee pot

Too much grounds or not running through fast enough. Right filters? basket flow hole vlesr? Sounds like it's backing up and flooding causing the grounds to get by yje filter. If you dare, **** the hole out just a tad. with the end of a sharp knife. not too much. You can always take out mor. This is called consuner calibration. Good Luck -Ned-

Cuisinart Grind & Brew DGB-600 fills up water in goldtone filter;

Some fine-grain coffees are too fine for the Gold Tone Filter. If this is the case, remove the Gold tone Filter and use paper filters only. You may have to wash excess grinds out of the black filter basket, since there may be a few stuck in there now - don't take the filter basket apart - just rinse it out with water.

Also, don't use a paper filter and the gold tone filter at the same time.

Good luck!

Coffee grinder on brew and grind won't work

Make sure the slot between the grind basket and filter basket is clean and free of grounds - then inspect the area near the grinder motor - use the brush that came supplied with the Cuisinart to clean that area out. Once thoroughly cleaned, try one more time to Grind. Let me know if it works.
