the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

De-activate the touch pad on Thinkpad T61 model 6465. I have tried the control panel and it only provides for the mouse.

When you open mouse properties in control panel you should have tab Ultra Nav (look on the picture), click on it and unmark box Enable Touch Pad.

I need information on the keys on my Lenovo Thinkpad. Right now the shift/ makes a "e" with accent. I think there must be a French option. and there are three buttons above the mouse pad that...

Hi Carol,
The three keys over your mouse pad are for the little nib mouse in the keyboard they are the Right and left click as well as a scroll in the middle. If you are referring to the FN key on the system they are function keys that are shown on the keyboard as blue lettering to use them you hold down the FN key and hit the one you need.
The accent over the e is a language setting i take it your on windows XP but the steps to go to the language settings are shown from Microsoft here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/winxp/yourlanguage.mspx
you can then go in to the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box as shown and remove the ones you do not use most keyboard are English US

The sticky keys came up while using my keyboard on my Thinkpad tablet and now I can not use my keyboard . I must have hit turn on instead of cancel and now my keyboard will not work

Using the mouse
  • Go to Control Panel -> Accessibility
  • on Keyboard tab, untick the box next to Sticky Keys, click Apply, then OK.

Hopefully this will fix it.

The left mouse button does not work on my IBM

Windows has the ability to swap mouse buttons, mainly for those who mouse left-handed. It looks to the right button for left button action. It seems that the actual left button is not functioning. A work-around is to use the right button as the left as you are now doing, AND, use the solid windows button (the one to the immediate left of the right control key) as the right button. Not as easy, but it works.
