You have to be careful with the airbag connectors, they may look fitted but sometimes they dont go fully in - so check. on the steering wheel there is a black earth wire connected to a male connector, you need to cut the end off the wire and put a round earth terminal on it, then drill a small hole in the metal part of the steering wheel and fit a self tapping screw through the electrical connector you fitted and screw it into the hole you drilled. that is the usual cause for the horn not working e.g. bad earth connector on steering wheel. if you are not sure ask someone that knows about electrics

What kind of tools & how to replace wiper/washer switch on 1993 chevy cavalier

Your switch is on the end of the turn signal arm? You will first need to disable the SRS system and remove the drivers air bag module. Next, remove the steering wheel and the upper and lower plastic column trim. Then you should be able to remove the multifunction switch. Simply reverse the procedure to put everything back together.

How do you change the dimmer/turn signal level in stering colum

most just push into the wiper switch.Disconnect battery negative First wait 3-5 minutes Then on the back side of steering wheel is are the retaining screws that hold the air bag to the steering wheel once removed disconnect wires and place pad side down then remove steering wheel, now you are looking at the air bag cable reel mark it position and remove without turning it. If installed wrong it will break. Remove lock plate then turn signal switch then you can see the handle nub with a small screwdriver pry nub out of wiper switch. and reassemble.

Remove the steering wheel of a 2013 Toyota corolla

As a general thing on newer models, disconnect negative battery cable, pull the air bag fuse(s) to ensure the air bag doesn't deploy. Remove the air bag by taking out the attaching screws usually on the back side of the wheel. Disconnect the air bag wiring from bag assembly then from steering column, unbolt wiring assembly and remove. Unscrew center hub bolt, then use a wheel puller to remove wheel.

Wiper motor only works on high. I changed the motor, but it still does the same thing.

Hi,
I do not believe the selector switch has a replaceable resistor for speed selection. You can try turning your switch to low speed and testing for voltage signal at the wiper motor. If no voltage, turn to high. If voltage, either bad switch or broken wire in harness. Tilt steering wheel up and down with wiper speed on low. If you get any wiper movement, probably broken / shorted wire in steering column. If not, bad multi function selector switch. Switch is in the $200 range plus labor to replace.
If replacing your self, caution must be used to disconnect the battery and pull the air bag fuse, as steering wheel and air bag assembly must be removed in process and you do not want the air bag to accidently deploy. A great step by step video for replacement is here:

Steering wheel adjustment , the steering whell is 90degrees off but the car does not pull eather direction. car was stolen no damage just steering whell truned

jack front of car up then turn steering wheel full lock to full lock and count the number of turns from either side then divide by 2 so you have the straight ahead position then remove the steering wheel and replace in the straight ahead position ,iam saying this because the vehicle may have been re tracked and only one track rod end adjusted so you have say 2 turns to the left and 2 and half to the right if you follow me .or remove the steering wheel then just hold it on and slowly drive forewards and lift wheel and refit to the correct position

I am buying a volvo which originally had an airbag, but where the steering wheel was replaced with one which does not have an air bag. The car is a 1991 Volvo 740, and it doesn't have ABS so I was hoping...

It's unlawful to replace a deployed airbag with one not designed for the vehicle in some states. It's also unlawful to disable the airbag which by virtue of not replacing the airbag after it has been deployed. This car sounds like a headache waiting to happen. One has to wonder what kind of collision the car was involved in to make the previous airbag deploy. At the very least, verify the DMV and car safety laws where you live prior to making the purchase and if you're still intent on buying the car, you should get a CARFAX report first. I do wish you well and the best of luck. Greg

Change hazard light switch

disconnects at the harness under the dash that follows the steering collum the steering wheel has to come off and it has air bags so yeah yer in need of professional help or remove the cover top and bottom and the top screw (torx) t24 i think and 2 of which are reverted a special tool to release the cover after disconnecting the battery the top screw is easily removed but the 2nd screw has to come out face forwards meaning the steering wheel has to be removed as i stated it has air bags a tough part from there and once removed its one unit which controls the wiper arm and hazard as well as headlights lights .. the part new is 195.00 or a salvage yard 20.00 - 60 .00 time consuming and you need a few tools and also aggravating for those who do not know too much about the auto industry i know its a tough one and i hope this steers you into the right direction ..
