Question about Panasonic Video Cameras
The swivel screen displays an image until it is swivelled approximately 20 degrees; after 20 degrees (i.e., at 45 degrees), the screen goes blank. All other functions of the camera work fine.
It is the flexi/ribbon cable that runs from the camera body to the screen that is at fault. It has got broken tracks.
It might work occasionally when the tracks are touching but after a while it will only get worse. A new ribbon cable is needed, which should be a straight forward job for a repair shop or if you can get the cable yourself, an electronics wizz kid !
