You have a shorted circuit board in the TV somewhere.

Testimonial: "I have three boards on the TV. I have replaced the main board with no change leaving two more boards. It must be one of them with a faulty relay and I can't see it. It just turns itself on and off whenever it wants to."

I don't guess, unless you have the test gear and the repair manual you just have a money pit. I would just count the loss and replace the TV. Just my opinion.

The alarm system on my 2001 Volkswagen Jetta GL keeps turning on by itself

You must have the dealer keep the car until this fault occurs and then scan the security system to see what is causing the triggering of the security system. It is very possible that the drivers door ajar switch or latch switch is defective and it triggers a false tampering signal.

Power turns off by itself once in a while. i turn

There can be several causes for this, few of which you can do anything about. However, a few things to try.

1) Replace the batteries on your remote control.
2) Try resetting the logic functions on your tv by unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in.
3) Try covering up the infra-red receptor on the front of your TV to see if you're getting unwanted signals from the receptor. taping a piece of foil over that area is perfect. If it doesn't stop after doing these two things you'll probably need to take it to a shop.
4) If this does stop it, then look for unexpected signal sources. Have you added a remote control extender? Added a new device to your audio-video system? Changed to a new remote?

Good luck with your problem...I hope you can work it out.

It turns itself on and off repeatedly

Try this:

Unplug the tv let sit for a minute while you replace the batteries in the remote and cover the IR remote sensor on the front of the TV. Cover it with a piece of black tape or a piece of aluminum foil.
Plug the tv back in and turn on.
If it no longer turns on and off by itself then you have IR interference from some other remote operated device in the room.
If it does continue to turn on and off with the IR sensor covered then it is the internal wiring/processors and will need servicing.

Power turn off after 45 minutes to 1 hour used

Check the "Sleep Timer" settings. If set to 45 minutes then TV would automatically turn itself off 45 minutes from being turned on. The variance in the "on" times is due to the TV turning itself off after not getting a signal from the remote for fifteen minutes.

Good luck,
Techjoel
