Battery warning light came on while driving, but went off again

try hold up the key while starting, shot in the dark. if it startes remove extra items off key ring

Have a load test done on the battery . Check battery posts and terminals are shiny clean and tight.. Check the alternator drive belt condition and tension because if it drives both the alternator and the power steering pump it indicates a belt problem.

Try taking the cables off the battery terminals and cleaning them with a battery brush. Then make sure they are tight when you put them back on. They may not have been tightened properly when the new battery was installed. If that doesn't work take the battery back to where you bought it and have them test it under load. It may be new but it may have one cell that is weak. If that checks good then I would start the car and remove the positive battery terminal. Use your multimeter from the ground to positive terminal to make sure the voltage regulator is putting out enough voltage.

If the tires are different sizes, that can cause the light to come on. Other causes are discussed on pages 28 and 173 of the manual:

Could be the battery also the alternator AutoZone does this check for free other places charge about 45$ to do that check

You could have a alternator problem. When the alternator stops charging the battery you are running on just the battery. When the battery gets weak a lot of weird things starts happening. Have your alternator tested.

Probably the alternator died, then used up all the power in your battery to keep the car running.
Have your alternator tested and maybe replaced. The battery needs tested also.
