Question about LG 42PX5D 42 in. Plasma HDTV
This can be caused by either the FFC (Flat Flexible Connector) from the address board to the screen. There are a few of these connectors so you need to judge from the position on the screen as to which one is at fault. You need then to dismantle the main board to gain access & then remove the heatsink running along the bottom to gain access to the board, you need to carefully disconnect the cable & try to clean the contacts, then re-assemble. This can sometimes cure the problem, but I have had this fault a few times & have only been sucessfully a couple of times because inevitably the fault is internally within the screen itself & cannot be fixed. The only solution then is to replace the screen which can be costly I'm afraid.
