Question about LG Heating & Cooling
WHEN I NOTICED THAT MY AIRCON WAS BUILDING UP SOME ICE, I HAD IT CLEANED AS IT IS ALREADY DUE, BY AN AUTHORIZED TECHNICIAN HOPING THAT THE PROBLEM WOULD BE SOLVED. HOWEVER, I FOUND OUT DAYS LATER, THAT ICE STILL BUILDS UP . THE AIRCON STILL COOLS UP MY ROOM,BUT NOT AS MUCH AS BEFORE. I WOULD KNOW THAT ICE IS BUILDING UP WHEN I COULD NOT FEEL THE BLOWER AS I GO NEAR THE AIRCON. I WOULD THEN PUT THE AIRCON TO FAN SETTING THUS MAKING THE TEMPERATURE RISE (HOT) CAUSING THE ICE TO MELT AND DROP. I WOULD THEN HEAR SOME CRANKING NOISE AS THE ICE POUNDS AGAINST THE SUCTIONING BLADE OF THE FAN MOTOR. THENAFTER,I WILL AGAIN PLACE THE SETTING TO COOL. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND FOR THE REASON THAT MY AIRCON STILL COOLS UP MY ROOM ,I HAVE NOT CONTACTED ANY AIRCON MECHANIC YET. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME TIPS AS TO THE POSSIBLE CAUSES OF THE PROBLEM THAT I MAY BE GUIDED IN FINDING THE SOLUTION BEFORE I HIRE A REPAIRMAN.THANK YOU AND MORE POWER.
Sounds like it's low on charge, dirty coil. Is this a ductless unit or window?

If you already had the coils and filter cleaned and the blower is OK, that only leaves the refrigerant charge.
You are probably low on refrigerant.
