Dishwasher not heating

I am guessing the hot water is not hooked up. Depending on the type of dishwasher and the setup of you kitchen, you can try to hook it up. You will need to pull it out to fix the heating.

My Westinghouse dishwasher SB907/915/925 is not heating water.

I have had the same problem. I removed the heater element and checked the resistance with my multimeter and got the reading of 26.4Ohms which sees ok. I then removed the printed circuit board and found that a joint on the back had burnt out. I have resoldered this joitn and all seems fine now.

solder joints are a common problem most times all they need is a resolder.if you are sure you replaced the relay with the same, i would suspect you have another dry joint go back over them and resolder all of them.But i have a feeling the relay is not the same recheck the part number it might be for a older/newer model.adrian;;;

Westinghouse dishwasher virtuoso SB 925 not heating the water and not drying the dishes , still workig thou. Would it be expensive to repair?

I also had this problem of the water not heating up but the washer still did its thing. what i found was the problem, is the soldered joints on the circut board were cracked (dry joints) around the relay area, i just resoldered them and hay presto its all good

Westinghouse sb915 will not heat element shows 25 ohms when tested.

Westinghouse SB907 had same problem, which I had thought might be the heating element. Fixed relay soldering on PCB where it was burnt/melted, now works! This probably applies to the Westinghouse SB925 also.
