I can't Open my External Hard Disk Buffalo HD-PXT320U2/W-AP .. How can i solve this problem .. ?? The Interface view I/O Error Device .. Thamls for yOur hElp ..

I/O Error Device means that the pc cannot communicate with your external HDD - either the USB cable is broken (replace it) or its control board has failed. If it's the latter then the Buffalo is dead, get a new one.

I cannot open my portable usb 2.0 500GB harddisk pls help me to solve it ... thk you

Portable hard drives are extremely useful. Make sure you have both HD cords connected correctly One coming from your HD to your PC and the other as a power cord. From there, you should simply click "Start" go to "My Computer" and your external drive should show up right there.

I could not dump files while it was as FAT32 format. I then formatted the HD to NTFS and the same issue persist. Now there isn't a "format" option when i load the HD. The model i have is PXT320U2

Access Windows Disk Manager to see all the drives that are currently connected to your computer. From there, right-click your external hard drive and you should be able to reformat it.

Some usb input ports on dvd players, projectors, etc. have a limit to what size it will read from. Right now it's usually 4 gb to 32 gb.

The buffalo 320GB cannot be detected in my laptop but detected on my friends laptop. How is it so?

It is quiet possible there is not enough power being supplied to the usb port on your laptop. Usually, if this is the case, when the hdd is plugged in you hear an ongoing beeping (something not).
Try using a double usb cable as pictured to get the extra required power to the drive.

Cannot access data in my buffalo ministation orange light showing, after it fell down

Try accessing it in another USB port or computer. If still not, it may unfortunately be damaged. You may be able to get it replaced under warranty.
