I would say that you should plan on either replacing the clock mechanism, or you may have a larger issue with the other internal gears (e.g., binding). Personally, I replaced the clock one year, then had to replace the entire unit the next. You didn't mention the model, but many use the same clock/timer/gear head, so check for the parts online using your make/model. You can easily save 50% over retail...

Pool pump breaker tripping

1) Not likely the timer is problem, unless there was fire or overheating in timer box. Use nose and eyes to inspect for signs of high heat.

2) Eliminate timer as suspect:
Move wires on timer to test if timer relays have gone bad.
Move terminal 4 to terminal 3
Move terminal 2 to terminal 1
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#T104

3) Check watt rating of Hayward pump, and voltage.
1Hp motor at 240Volt draws 8 amp, and can draw 6 to 8 times that amount when starting. Up to 100 feet, should be at least 12 gauge wire and double-pole 20 amp breaker. Over 100 feet, 10 gauge wire and 30 amp double-pole breaker is best.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Color-codewire.html#motor

4) Intermatic T104 240V timer is rated 40 amps
Can safely handle 1 Hp motor without nearing heat-rating capacity of timer

5) Make sure the motor is wired correctly for 240Volts.
If motor is wired for 120, and 240 is applied, then tripped breaker can result.

Why is the clock losing time on my THR860SUK programmer, loses approx 2-3 mins per month.

This is Honeywell digital thermostat.
Warranty is 1 year for workmanship
call Honeywell Customer Care at 0845 604 2893.

Settings are saved with back-up feature, so external power outage or intermittent short should not affect internal time clock. That says the internal electronics are causing issue.
Instruction manual does not have troubleshoot section:

I have installed a new adjustable thermostat unit (E1-BCANRT1W). Temp is set at 91 deg and I am using the timer. Two time periods are set and the switch is set to timer (not ON). The unit comes on at...

Double check your slide switch.
For timer: set switch to TIMER
For thermostat: set switch to ON
If slide switch does not operate, then Autocirc may be defective

http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Auto-circ-manual.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-recirculation-system.html

1) Household AC wiring will not affect the timer.
You can check your outlet using cheap circuit analyzer from home center.
The clock rotates one direction and the pins push small lever down which turns motor on-off.
When the OFF pins pass, the small lever snaps back and the motor turns ON.

I cannot immediately find operation manual for the E-1 model.
Typical ACT303 auto circ manual says following:

2) If timer controlled operation is desired, set timer and move slide switch to TIMER:
Manual says: tabs/pins are outward for ON times.
Another sentence says UPWARD, so I don't know which way the pins are set for sure.
So if you want timer ON for 2 hours, you would set 4 consecutive pins outward or upward.
ON for 6 hours, set 12 consecutive pins outward or upward.
If the timer turns ON in reverse of instructions, then set the pins that way.
Autocirc does not make the timer, they buy timer modules from clock-makers like Grasslin, Intermatic, etc.

3) To operate Autocir thermostatically without the timer, slide switch to ON position.
The clock dial will continue rotating

I have a Lang Autocirc with timer for 11 years. The past few months water not getting hot I timed how long hot water takes in faucet before \unit by 6' and faucet just after unit and times the same over 2...

Autocirc can be uninstalled and the pipe cleaned out with CLR (calcium lime and rust), otherwise there are no repair parts.
Once the motor begins to slow, it overheats and burns out.
11 years is a good run, so you must have good water or are careful about your water softener.

http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-recirculation-system.html
Using the timer and running Autocirc 1 hour a day costs between $11 and $17 per year to operate.
2 hours a day is $22-34 per year.
This includes pump operation and additional time that water heater operates.

Pump runs 5 minutes and stops

Move the slide switch to ON.
Open following link for recirculation system resources.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-recirculation-system.html

The recirculation can work on either the timer or the thermostat using slide switch located next to the timer dial.
First of all, look to see if dial is rotating as time passes.
Next look at position of slide switch. If switch is moved to 'timer,' then the timer controls the on-off function for pump.
Move the pins located on timer dial to control on-off times.
If the switch is moved to ON, then the thermostat controls the pump, and turns on until temperature in pipe reaches 94 or 100 degrees F approximately. I forget exact cutoff temp.

I have a 50 galon smartwaterheater that came with the home and im trying to figure out how to work the gray timer box on wall

The gray timer box saves power by turning the power off and on to the water heater. Most that I have seen have a 1/4 inch screw head that you loosen and tighten to change the time it runs and shuts off. Basically operates like the outlet timers you use from a wall outlet.
Installed one for my mom over 25 years ago, still working.
