Question about Sony KDF-E55A20 55 in. LCD Television
My tv is approx 18 months old. Just recently a horizontal (dashed) line has appeared near the middle of the screen. The dashes appear approx every two inches and are actaully several pixels which have gone black in a 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch section. Each 1/4 inch cluster of blackened pixels appears in a different configuration (looks similar to dots on a dice). When the screen is black these pixels appear blue.
On the KDFE55A20 this sounds like a bad Q-Box. I would get an estimate from a Sony authorized servicer as this part may be quite expensive. On the 55A10 model this may be the B-Block and is also quite expensive. Getting an on-sit estimate would be the first step I suggest. Again go with an authorized Sony servicer. Call Sony or go to Sony.com for customer service. Good Luck
