Question about Samsung Digimax S600 Digital Camera
One half of the cover that comes over the lens is permanently closed and the other half is permanently open!
A water bottle leaked in my bag and some moisture may have got into the camera although the problem with the lens cover not operating properly started some time ago.
My camera is a samsung Digimax S600
I have the same problem, this is not a permanent fix but is a hell of a lot cheaper than fixing it or buying a new 1. As you press the power button help the camera and pull the lens out, this will allow you to use the camera as normal, including zooming in and out
Have had my camera for 3/4 years now and has only just started doing this but still works fine
Hope it helps xxx

The problem is of zoom lens motor which operates lens cover along with zoom, and it needs replacement with new part, and camera will start working fine again.
Thanks for using fixya
