Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

My network went down suddenly, no particular reason, no error message, everything else working fine. I tried repairing network, I get ''cable is not plugged in network adapter'' when it actualy is. The ethernet cable and modem are ok, tested on a different pc, all fine. I tried reinstalling the drivers, no difference, ''device working properly''. I tried a Network Test from the Device Manager, I get ''link Test Failed'', all else fine. Help!

Could a storm have caused this? Network was fine before, PC was on during lightning storm, network not working after.

Try a powered USB hub. I have had this problem with a PC and even plugging two devices into a hub with its own power supply fails sometimes.

No Video TV shows "No Signal" on black screen

Try to find a frind with an xbox and ask to see if you can borrow there cables for like a day.see if those cables work. if they do that means you have to go and buy new cables and if it still doesent work try a diffent tv. if that still doesent work then you have to probably send it back. i took my faceplate off and i think that voids the warrenty.

Hope this helps you out a bit

NIC hardware failure

Maybe your problem is software related. Maybe a virus changed some settings. I would check all the internet settings and the network card settings. I've seen this happen before. In windows xp click Start/Control Panel/Network Connections. Then right click on your local area connection and Click Properties. Slide the bar down to the TCPIP protocol and highlight it, then click Properties. Make sure you are obtaining the IP Address and DSN Server address automatically. Click the Advanced button and make sure DHCP is enabled.

When I transferred those particular pictures to my laptop for some reason they were partially deleted from the camera which gave the 'picture error' message. Deleting that picture completely got rid of the message.
