Everything looks good but no flash

I had the same thing happen. It fell of a 3 inch step and now it does not fire. It powers on, charges up but when you fire it the bulb does not go off. When you zoom in you can see the bulb and it looks like it is one piece. I have been told it might be a short? I would love to know how to fix this or how much it is going to cost me.

Most likely the bulb has blown, need a replacement bulb (more correctly "Tube"), you can get them but you will need to be good with a soldering iron and good at dismantling small compact things....Nikon would be very expensive to repair.

Galaxy tab 2 10.1 does'nt show thw level ef charge

Try Resetting the Device Cache Partition by booting in to Recovery Mode.

o turn ON in Recovery Mode:

Step 1: Power off device completely (You Might need to Keep it on charge)
Step 2: Press and Hold "power" + "Vol up" for 5 sec
Step 3: Notice it flash boot screen twice
Step 4: Enter recovery menu use vol up and down to navigate
Step 5: Press power button for confirmation
Step 6: Wipe cache partition.

if clearing the cache partition doesn't help, you can also try resetting your device by formatting it to factory settings (ALL DATA WILL BE DELETED). for this Repeat the Steps upto 5, then use Step 6: Wipe data and clear cache.

Battery not charging, need to find extra voltage load?

Hi gelly, unless the battery you have purchased just happens to be faulty (can you test with another) then i would suggest that the mainboard is faulty (charging circuit is not working as it should) and unless you are good with a diagram & soldering iron i would recommend taking to a good local tech. Hope this helps.

Flash not working

Can be for severe; reasons.
1. There is enough light.
2. You can force the flash, with the mode switch to Flash forced on, Slow synchro and Flash forced off. Try flash forced on.
3. The battery is not fully charged. When there is not enough power in the battery, the flash can't be charged enough to fire. But if the camera tries to charge the flash, a symbol with a lightening arrow and a dot is displayed. So if you see these symbols, could be you need better batteries. Try charging the battery.
4. the flash is really defect. Could happen too, but first check if everything from 1 to 3 is as it should be. only than you have to visit the repair shop or Sony if it is still in warranty.

Flash fires irregularly... good exposures, then suddenly 3 way under exposed/black then a good exposure, the a completely burnt out over-exposed shot! Completely irregular.

If you are referring to the internal flash I would say you are firing the camera faster then the flash can cycle. There is a green lightning bolt that will come on in the viewfinder when the flash has charged. If you fire the first one it may be a charged flash then again you may have popped the flash composed and tripped the shutter before the flash has had a chance to fully charge. You fire again depleting the charge some more and before it has a chance to recover you fire it again so the flash never has a chance to fully charge. You need to wait till the flash ready light come on in the viewfinder.

A screen looking thing fell out of my Sharp 1655CS

If this is a metal screen kind of chrome in color then it sounds like the charge corona grid. This is a part of the drum unit. If it came from your old drum unit then I would not worry about it. If you are installing a new drum unit then I would go ahead and install it and test the machine. Should be ok.

Novatron 240 Flash Kit

First you need to isolate the problem by doing some troubleshooting.
1) try a known good sync cord to determine if the problem is the sync cord and not the power pack.
2) try a known good sync cord with a known good camera to determine that the problem is not in the camera.
3) try your camera with a different power pack to confirm your camera is triggering the power pack OK.
These steps will isolate the source of the problem.

Metz 45CL-4 not firing consistently... Hi, Have a problem with a Metz 45CL-4 flashgun. I may have damaged the circuit by rapid charging from an external NiMh pack whilst trying to form the main capacitor....

Hi Guys!
I have had the same problem on CT-1 s and CT-5s.
In both cases the flash cable (called PC synch cable) was to blame. If flash fires correctly with the test button on the handle, then cleaning the cable contacts with contact cleaner spray seems to be the best first step.

Flash quit flashing

To test the flash to fire without the camera:

Cut a wire about 4" long.
Strip both ends to about 1/4" to exposed the wire.
Turn on flash, wait until fully charged.
Touch one end of wire(lead) to Center of flash contact and hold in place.
Touch other end(lead) to side of flash.
This should fire the flash, if the tube or the cap is good.

Hope they are helpful.

Camera wont turn on.

Main power led to on/off switch is crushed and not enough power gets through.
you have disassemble the camera.
I would think first before tring this.
Remove 3 screws on bottom, 1 in battery compartment, and 1 at very top of usb flap (look good).
Now slide the side piece starting at the usb flap then apply pressure to top and away from unit.
now look for 1 silver and three black screws (facing back and front, look good).
See the big red wire leading to main on off switch if it crushed thats the problem.
I replaced it with a longer piece of wire.
Remember to replace battery door first if it fell off during process.
*TEST NOTE: You can place batteries in and place a penny across the bottom to test before you put it back together.
