Problem for Canon PIXMA iP1800 InkJet Photo Printer
Printer won't accept that I have installed cartridges properly

canon pixma IP1200: My PC always displays an orange box saying I must open the cover, push cartridges up and in prop'ly so they click in.
I've done so 100 times and turned printer off and on etc. with no luck.
Any thoughts?

Try wiping the contacts on the cartridge and priner with a cotton bud dipped in methylated spirits.
