I have a Phillips 42 inch Plasma. I tried

One of two issues/problems:
1) Main Power supply problem
2) High Voltage Power supply problem.
A Good TV Service Shop that works on Philips would be the first place I'd call. It will be much cheaper to bring the TV into the shop instead of having a tech come out to your location.
Possibly a $200 to 300 dollar repair.

When I plug the TV in, it will click, no picture will happen, I can see green lights through the back of the TV flashing the same time the clicking happens. Phillips model number 42PFP5332D/37 serial...

You may have a problem with the power supply circuit which is a common issue with these types of TVs. Inspect the circuit for burnt parts, leaking or swollen capacitors and loose solders.

Video game broke my tv

There may be a couple of issues. One could be that if you bumped or wiggled a coaxial cable(for cable or sattelite) the end may be grounding out, and interfering with the video signals in general. For this you may need to call an audio/video installer or your local cable guy. Another solution may be that in your "Quick Set Up Guide" there is a page about setting your convergence. Follow the steps listed in the guide, and see if it helps. If all of your input cables are tight to the back of the TV and you have set the convergence and it still doesn't help, call the Phillips support line @ 1888 744 5477.

Phillips rear projection tv turns off after 5 seconds

Here is a tip I learned from

Remove both chips...if the TV works again then either the soldering was still bad...or you have a damaged chip. The other possible options is a missing cable or some solder that has splashed on nearby pins.

Philips tv 27PT6441/37 horizontal lines about 3in wide on top of the screen.

I'm having the same issue with this TV! From the top of the screen to about two/three inches below there are thousands of horizontal lines with a whitish tinge which seem to be reflecting what is just below these lines! I’ve never seen this issue on any TV ever! From what I am seeing now is that many people are having this issue and more! We should put a class action lawsuit against them! If anyone knows anything, please post the info. Many tech forums are loaded with issues for these TV’s but this issue seems to be prominent!

My mom had two Phillips TV’s; one just under two years, and the other just under a year and Phillips refused to fix either without a large expenditure on her behalf. She told me never to buy Phillips and I should have listened. Phillips used to be a great company so I don’t really know what has happened? This was a TV for my Grandmother and it wasn't at a bad price not to mention the picture was great albeit severely over scanned.

As for her TV, we had it about two weeks over a year and Phillips said there was nothing they could do! They said they would pay for the cost to replace the tube if I took it to one of their dealers but they said the cost to bring it there and repair would fall on me! Also if the issue was not related to the tube I would have to pay everything OOP! The lady laughed on the phone and said even if it had been under six months or under a year they would still only pay to fix the parts and everything else would cost me! WTF?

The moral of the story is NEVER BUY PHILLPS/MAGNOVOX EVER! You might be getting the TV deal of the century but it is not worth it in the long run. I originally thought my mom was nuts, but now looking back considering the issues others are having, and realizing the **** poor way Phillips support deals with ALL problems, they’re simply not worth the money or trouble. I WILL NEVER buy another Phillips, Magnavox, or Funai product ever again, whether it is a TV, clock, DVD player, and/or ANY electronic device! If you do you HAVE BEEN WARNED and WILL BE SORRY!

Well, I don't think you need a repair tech, like the other guy said.

The problem is your Dish box's interaction with your TV tuner. I would call The Dish Network for a fix. There might be a known issue with your TV's make and/or model.

Any chance you could rate my answer instead of that other guy's? I'm trying to build my rating with quality answers.

Blue glow

I have the same issue with my phillips tv. There is a blue ghosting/pixel issue on the left side. It's still under bestbuy's warranty so I am going to call it in for service. It's more visible with hdmi and high resolution inputs. It does take a while to happen. Looks to be a bad screen possibly.
