Question about Gaggia Syncrony Logic 74884 Espresso Machine & Coffee Maker
Hi, we have a Gaggia Syncrony Logic coffee machine which we have had for a couple of years. We haven't had any problems with it until a few days ago. The frother doesn't seem to have any pressure, it releases a tiny dribble of steam and then the red light goes on constant. The water level is fine and the machine is filled with coffee beans. I tried to descale it to see if there was a blockage somewhere, this hasn't fixed the problem. I was able to get a little water out of the steamer by turning the nob without the steamer button being pressed, though this again only let a little water out and then the red light came on. In addition to trying to descale it, I also used a pin and pipe cleaner to clean out the steam pipe. It didn't appear to be blocked. The steamer was making a funny werring noise while it was trying to dispense either water or steam. Do you have any ideas?
Remove the steam wand and inside you will find a small teflon like tube at the top, throw that away and run water through the wand to make sure it is clear then re-assemble in machine and test.

SOURCE: Beans stick in hopper
The problem is that beans have particles and oil on/in them, jamming the switch which is giving you this message. Invert the unit on a hard surface covered with newspaper and give it a couple of strong taps against that surface. The junk should fall out and get you going again. Clearly, you're missing something when disassembling the unit.

Remove the brew unit and to the left of that is the the discharge area for the grinder, make sure that hole is clear, then adjust grind 1 number coarser, and check machine.

It sounds like you need to program the coffee level.
Have a look on this page for the instruction manual.
