You pressed the power button on top of the radar detector? If that doesn't work, first plug the smartcord into your cigarette lighter socket. Then plug in the RJ11 connector into your RX65 while looking at the power lamp on the smartcord. If you see the smartcord power lamp very briefly and faintly flash, then power is getting to your RX65 yet for some reason, even when pressing the power button, it won't power up. In that case, you have to send to Beltronics for service.

Tap into ignition power source

Don't bother with finding a certain wire Bro,go to the fuse panel and use a contenuity test light.Hook aligator clip to ground and turn the switch on.Touch the test probe to any fuse an the tester bulb will light up.Turn switch off and light goes out.Under the panel cap will tell you what the fuse goes to.Best to use one that isn't part of ignition circute cause you may be using it while riding and could take power from the ignition.Use one that's power to lights or brake light switch is most power for USB charger.Mount the recepticle somewhere inconspicuous, like on seat frame,so doesn't take away from bikes apperance, and get a little brass clip from any auto parts store, that clips on the fuse, pop fuse out and test which side is still hot,and clip the brass tang to the other side so you are the a fused connection.Run your hot wire and good to go.The recepticle mounting is your ground to complete the circut.

Power problem PAVILION zv5000 (AMD) sn:CND5190R9W.

Yes, I have found that the solder joints on connector terminal on the motherboard become unstable/dry/cracked after a period of time, t seems they are not strong enough to cope with constant movement of plug

Motherboard can be removed and joints on base of power adaptor connector on MB resoldered, once again restoring connectivity from power adaptor plug to mainboard.

Use a moderate temp soldering iron.and thin solder and redo solder joints on power adaptor socket.

2000 Audi A6 Quattro with 2.7 power windows, door locks, interior DLC is not communicating with the computer. what could be the cause of this? all fuses are good.

Check terminal #16 (see diagram of connector) of the connector for 12 volt unswitched power, this is what powers the code reader or scan tool, if it is not hot you have a fuse issue somewhere. Did you check the under hood fuse box?

Battery light goes out about 10 seconds after pluged in. does not charge

There could be a problem with the battery. A fast check to determine whether you have a problem with the power adapter, power cord or the laptop's battery is to turn off the laptop, remove the battery, connect the power adapter, turn on the laptop & see if it works.
If the laptop works directly from the power adapter with the battery removed, then the power adapter is good. In this case we can suspect that the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.

Hi im in Argentina and i accidentally pluged in my amp without an adapter now it doesnt work what needs to be fixd?

The power supply is blown. Argentina is 220V I believe. I have never seen a power supply schematic for this however being that it is low power it is a linear supply not switching. Either the rectifier diodes are blown out or possibly the output capacitors are blow due to approx double voltage. If you try this yourself be careful otherwise get a new amp. Good Luck

I have a externial GPS system that will not work in the cars accerse, but will work when pluged in to a house out let, not sure if the GPS to car connecting wire is bad ,or something in the car (fuse) is...

while its plugged in to the car outlet, make sure the green (some have red) light is on, on the adapter.if it is not on, try a charger you know is good in the same outlet to verify the outlet is good. if it is, check the end of the charger that plugs in to the car outlet. check the fuse in the tip of the car charger(adapter) by unscrewing the silver tip off the charger and remove the fuse and see if its blown. take the fuse to a local electronics store for a replacement.

Mainboard shutdown

Never do that to fuses, search the web (especially the site of your laptop's maker) for common cures to your situation, and failing diagnosis recommending a particular cure, don't do stuff at random.  That sort of thing sort of sounds like a battery issue; won't the thing come on with no battery, but the power power connected?

Not powering up

sounds like a problem with the charger or the battery on the laptop, if the battery is no good you should still be able to use it with it being pluged in, is there a led indicator on the adapter? if its not on try a fuse to start off with, after that id try a different power supply
