SOURCE: at what outside temperature can I begin spraying for weeds.

Yes it will. I usually spray right after the grass starts growing in the spring. If you want to save some money look at the labels on all the weed and grass killers and find the one with the highest percentage of GLYPHOSATE for the price . Concentrated is always cheaper than premixed and the roundup brand name will always be the most expensive. It's all the same stuff no need to buy the brand name.

SOURCE: Want to Kill Clover in Vinca Beds

I have used this in my gardens with a garden sprayer. You can use it with the sprayer just hold the sprayer close to the ground and spray lightly so it doesn't get in contact with your flowers. Also, make sure it's about 12 inches or so away holding the sprayer against the ground. Another item I use a lot is Preen. It could be a lot of work at first depending on how much weeds you have but if you pull and scrape up the clovers put a good amount down it should keep the weeds at bay. Try to use only preen as I have tried other products and they haven't worked. Something to keep in mind in the spring when you are adding new soil and getting your flower gardens together and before adding mulch mix a lot of preen into the soil before laying that new soil down. I know it can be a little costly but trust me it works and will save you from a lot of back wrenching work of weed pulling. Try not to use other products like Preen as I have found out for myself they don't work. I have found this will last pretty much the whole planting season. You can sprinkle more during the summer on top of the mulch if you do see some weeds breaking ground just be sure to pull those weeds because preen will not kill anything that has already popped up. I hope I have answered your question and good luck with the clover.

Should I spray an Epsom Salt solution on the leaves of the vegetables in my garden?

Not unless you want to kill your plants. Use Epsom salts, dish soap and vinegar solution for a powerful weed killer though.

How long should I wait to determine if my application of Weed B Gone is 'working'?

Weeds treated with Ortho Weed-B-Gon Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer Concentrate will show visible signs that the product is working within 1 to 2 weeks. A repeat application may be necessary in 2 to 3 weeks for hard-to-control weeds. Initial signs that the product is working are wilting and yellowing of tender new growth. Necrosis (tissue death) then spreads to the rest of the plant. The weeds wither, turn brown and die.
Sometimes it appears that weeds are still growing and going to seed even after they have been treated with Weed-B-Gon Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer Concentrate. These seeds will be sterile because the chemical will have reached them within 1-2 days of treatment. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact Ortho @ 1-800-225-2883

Sprayed yard two weeks ago and appears chickweed is spreading. No sign that the Ortho Weed b Gon for chickweed is working . The chickweed is actually blooming with tiny white flowers. I live in VA.

I am sorry that the Ortho Weed-B-Gon Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer did not control the common chickweed as expected.

The active ingredient in Ortho Chickweed Clover and Oxalis Killer is Triclopyr, Triclopyr is very efficient at killing tough to control weeds, but it does take a lot longer for it to show results that it is working.

Weeds treated with Ortho Weed-B-Gon Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer will show visible signs that the product is working under optimal conditions ( usually 65-85 degrees F) within 1 to 2 weeks. A repeat application may be necessary in 2 to 3 weeks for hard-to-control weeds. Initial signs that the product is working are wilting and yellowing of tender new growth. Necrosis (tissue death) then spreads to the rest of the plant. The weeds wither, turn brown and die.Sometimes it appears that weeds are still growing and going to seed even after they have been treated with Weed-B-Gon Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer. These seeds will be sterile because the active ingredient will have reached them within 1-2 days of treatment.

If you give it another week and still see no yellowing, twisting or curling, you may want to reapply. If that still doesnt work, or you have any further questions give us a call at 1-800-225-2883 to see what else we can do.

I recently used ROUNDUP on a lawn The product did its job, the weeds are gone, so is some of the grass near the spray. It has not rained since the spay went on - maybe 10 - 12 days. How can I restore the...

Your grass is probably dead as well. Roundup is a non selective herbicide and will kill anything green. So take care when applying. Even green stems of young trees. Shield from spray when spraying. The best is to plant new grass. Roundup stays active in the soil for around two weeks despite what Monsanto says so add new topsoil when laying new runners or a new block of grass. Rain is no issue except within 6 hours of treatment. You can water the lawn with no problem now. Good luck and take care-Roundup is a poison that does affect our hormonal balances especially women.

Newly planted red apple iceplant but weeds are taking over

I have heard of two possible choices, the first is a product called "Killer" sold at Armstrongs Gargen centers that may kill the grass, but not the Ice Plants. Check out - http://www.garden-counselor-lawn-care.com/kill-crabgrass.html

Good Luck, I Have not used it, but going to in the next couple of days, seems to be the best choice I can find so far.
