Frusturated my camera is a samsung digimax S500 and it does not turn on...i put brand new batteries in it and it still wont turn on..I did not spend a fortune on this camera just so it could just sit in its box and not work!..please help me someone, if there is a way to charge this camera and any other help you are able to give me

The S500 works with SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

I have a samsung digital camera digimax cyber 530 - just replaced batteries and camera wont start, i get 3 flashes from the green light screen nw comes on then goes off & the lens wont retrack back in the camera

Try this. Go to your tools menu, look for something like power saver or display off and change the duration that the screen stays on.

batteries are dead,or not in properly.if not. only use energizer lithium batteries.others burn out very fast,hope i was helpful.

Turns out the brand new batteries I installed were dead.

Mine got stuck with lens out. The batteries were new so I never imagined it could be the batteries, but they were cheap ones so I recharged a pair of good ones and once I put tried them on it worked just fine again. Conclusion, the "new" cheap batteries had only enough energy to turn it on and then they couldn't give it enough energy to make it work anymore and that's why I couldn't retract the lens or even turn it off properly. So in your case, try using a couple of good and new batteries.

I tried rechargeable batteries and they didn't last very long at all, like a few hours even. I tried E2 (Energizer) and they worked great. Maybe try these. If it doesn't work, then something else is wrong, contact your local store to see they can test the same at the store.

Use lithium batteries. I had a problem when our camera would turn on for a few seconds, beep 3 times, and then shut off. The best batteries, which are actually recomended for this camera is the lithium batteries. I strongly suggest them.
