Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX9 Digital Camera
I had the same problem as most of you. I was on vacation and had been taking pictures all week long and then suddenly...the LCD screen was pitch black. I have had the camera for nearly four years and it has served me well up until now.
I had the same problem. The flex cable for backlight was broken. I take out the backlight LED module. There have one resister along with 4 LED. I soldered two wires (AWG 30) onto two sides of resistor. Just follow the trace of flex cable and then solder the wires to the pins of connector directly. Although there have 4 wire on the backlight cable, it only need two to work. In order to avoid any finger print and dust fall on to the LCD, it would better wear a hat and plastic glove during this operation.
