Question about Acer Extensa 4220-2148 Notebook
My lapotp is a little over a year. More than often, I've been noticing that when I try to start up my laptop, the green power button lights on and the screen has a lit up, but black screen. I turn it off and tried it again two more times, but the same result. I left the laptop on for about four minutes, and slowly the login screen came on. I don't understand why it is doing this and I'm nervous whether I should start backing things up and looking for a new computer.
The monitor might be 'dead' because the flyback transformer (specially primary section of it) is not working. You can try replacing it if it doesn't cost you too much...
