Question about Intel DG965RY Motherboard

1 Answer

I have a DG965WHKR MB that used to work. It was a 2nd computer that I didn't use for a few months. Upon trying to start it back up it won't show any video output (it used to be ok.) It won't even display POST messages. I have 4 GB of RAM. I have pulled 2 GB and swapped both in and out. It doesn't seem to make any difference. I have tried booting from a CD...no luck. I have swapped processors (I have a 2nd E6700) without success. I have tried a 2nd monitor. I have reset the BIOS jumper and pulled the battery. Any other suggestions?

You tried it in neutral but did you take it out of park and force it back into park? Just a suggestion since sometimes the switch that tells it that it is in park needs a bit of a nudge sometimes.

97 mercury mountaineer. won't start

hi,

watch your oil pressure when cranking, you have to have some oil pressure to get the fuel system to start. you may have to find the hot wire at the relay and energize it to see if it is indeed the fuel pump going out. if its been sitting and its a 97 the fuel pump just might have went, you can also try hitting the gas tank from the outside in the middle to see if that works too. have a water hose or fire extinguisher around when your working on fuel system and leave one of your battery cable a little loose..

2000 olds alero cranks then makes a metal grinding sound and won't start

You need to have your flywheel: replaced.Your starter motor engages against the fly wheel at the back of the motor. Every time your motor stops it tends to be in the same few positions (just the way things work) so there is more stress on some parts of your fly wheel than others. Because of this the teeth wear out on the fly wheel which means the starter can correctly engage on the fly wheel which is the grinding noise.

I have a Windows CE Sylvania netbook that won't boot to the desktop. I can turn it on, but it seems to freeze right as it turns on. It shows the start up screen where it says "Loading OS Image...

One temporary solution is to remove the battery for a while until all the capacitors in the unit discharge. Upon replacing the battery, you get one good power up try. Notice that the date and time have reset. Once you turn off the unit and try to power it up again, the problem comes back and you must again remove the battery for a while. There may be a patch to fix the boot loader, but I have not found it yet.

Has the fuel been in it since you last used it? if so drain and re fill with fresh fuel oil, work the primer plenty of times to flush the old fuel out, crank the engine twice only with the choke out, then push it fully back in and crank again until it fires up.

Key won't turn to start the car

Hi, Just a guess. Is the steering wheel turned so that it is under pressure? If it is, use one hand to relieve the presure while at the same time turing the key in the ignition. This simple solution may be the cause. Good Luck!

I have intel 845 glly desktop board with 256 mb SDR. When I added 128 mb SDR in the second slot it is not recognising it. How to add 128 mb SDR with 256 mb SDR. When I fix 128 mb ram in first slot and...

1st try to exchange the cards in the slot.
2nd try another card
3rd ur RAM slot may not be ok
4th ur RAMs may not be compatible
5th ur new RAM card may not be ok
use same type of RAMs, and same size...
if u have 256, add 256
if u ahve 128 add 128
if u have SDR then dont add DDR
getting compatibility is little difficult...
some times no combinations can work...
note...technology keeps changing...so a old RAM card that was bought years ago may not be compatible with a new RAM card....
even i got all my old RAM cards(256+128) removed and got 2 - 512mb of the same type fixed...even i had issues with my RAMs for 6 months...

I'm having the same issue on my older JVC GZ-MG model. It seems to only happen in low light situations. I can't believe there is nothing on the web about this.

you may need a bios flash to solve the power up problem, the power up and down settings are in there, you can download the latest bios flash from your computer manufaturer support website, but first i would have a look at your power settings in the control panel while the computer is on before you do the bios flash
