Also see if you can locate the mower deck model number i.e STX 38, STX 42 (Deck color Black or Yellow?) Should be a silver decal with black lettering. Also... there is supposed to be a belt routing diagram on the mower deck. (Another silver decal with the belt routing picture)
Look underneath the hood of your 1990 Honda Accord for the correct belt routing diagrams, the diagram is a sticker and it shows all of the routing. Click on the link below to view diagram:
jd lt 166 has 5 different decks 3 of which have the same belt routing 1st the belt needs to be adjusted correctly to stop it from "slacking off" then on most decks the belt is routed in between the 2 small idler pulleys and then to the engine pulley so let me know the deck i.e. 36", 42 ", 46", 48" different belt sizes also kendo
