If it is turned on but without display, then there is a problem with the backlight of the LCD monitor. Here is how you can replace the LCD.

http://inventgeek.com/Projects/BacklightFix/Overview.aspx

But you should be highly experienced with this stuff to do this, otherwise, you can bring it to an authorized service center. If its still under warranty, the better.

It appears that you have checked a lot of components, have you checked the continuity? There may be disconnects somewhere that is not visible. It could be the IC for the output that may have gone bad.

This is an lcd tv right? If so then shine a flashlight into the screen and see if you can see an image. If you can, then your backlight or your inverter for the backlight went out and need to be replaced. If it isn't an LCD tv, let me know. Also if you find that the above is not your problem, then please let me know the make and model number of the tv along with whether the tv has audio still. Let me know how this turns out.

Do you have audio or any type of picture on the tv with the digital receiver?

  • Benjamin Patri

Also, have you connected the receiver to any other tv to see if it will work? Please try this so we can determine whether the tv or the receiver is at fault to start with.

240V does not turn on the display panel you should check the transformer on the board or next to it or check a fuse on the board

Im getting sound but no picture

Hi,

Problem is in either power supply or the Y-Sustain board.

The Y-Sustain is a relatively large board out of which go connections to the side of the display; it's therefore closer to either the left or the right side of the display, has at least one rather large heat sink on it and fat power cables connecting it to the main power supply.

Often there are fuses on that board - one or more. Check those.

if they are blown you can try to replace them, but expect them to blow again - usually the whole board needs to be replaced.
take care in handling the set....

XEROX Monitor Product No : XM3-19W Model No: 900W Power: AC 100-240V 50/60Hz 1.2A Problem : " RGB Analog " When Starting the monitor afte 3 second display and then Black screen.

Common failures in LCD monitors are due to bad caps as hown in my albums.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Hi, no display on any led. 240v to machine sounds

Hello,
It does sound as if the door latch may be at fault but it also seems as if it has caused the main control P.C.B. and control Interface to fail. This machine was manufactured in April 2005 from the Prod. no.This is covered under the major parts warranty (not the door latch). Also make sure if the power to the controls is off check for any loose connectors on the main p.c.b and interface. Also have a look at the body of the door latch and if there is a brown discolouration that is a good sign that is the culprit.

Won't power up. Press power button, turns green then orange.

Good day sir/maam, Hi, If the LCD is under warranty, use it, they will replace the LCD monitor for free. If not, you may need spend for a Power supply board, to repair one.

There are two boards usually found on an LCD monitor, one main board that controls the LCD screen, back light, inverter, controls and sound. the second board is the power supply board, which accepts mains voltages 90v-240v AC and convert them to DC to power the entire monitor.
If however you may bring it to a repair shop or dealer, they will replace the power board, and there you go. the monitor is done.
